Great comment on Farnsworth. I would trade him for a player to ne named later, like 20 years from now. He is the worst.

You know, as an uneducated guess, I would say that most of the team probably hits much better in wins than losses, hence the fact that the team wins when the players perform well. I'd like to see, say, Damon's numbers in wins v. losses, or Cano's.

Personally, I am a socialist, but ballplayers make what ballplayers make. C'est la vie. I love the game and their talent, so my fandom, especially for the Yankees, is my horrible contradiction and guilty pleasure. But distribution of wealth is another thing entirely and the current world endemic of poverty numbers our days.

"Yo man, since when the way the world work make it right or just or smart, Johnson? A business? Yo, there ain’t no amount a money worth the price of loyalty."

Ok... that doesn't even make sense. Using your logic, it's not "right" that A-Rod makes more than a doctor, soldier, or law enforcement officer, therefore, we should refuse to pay him? Come on, man, that's a ridiculous argument.

I'll say again, the Yankees could not afford to carry a non-productive player this year. They asked him if he'd be willing to go out and prove that he could contribute effectively this year and he refused. That's all there is to say.

Whither Edwar Ramirez? Torre keeps going back to Farnsworth in the eighth like he is the second coming of Joel Zumaya. Which he is most decidedly not. If I could draw, I would draw a cartoon of Torre on the high wire at the circus, holding the long pole and wobbling while Farnsy sits on his shoulders. With the wobbly lines and everything. Sheez.

Great game from Abreu today. I especially liked how he stayed back on that double to left in the ninth. I can see why people say he's on track for a monster second-half.

Yo man, since when the way the world work make it right or just or smart, Johnson? A business? Yo, there ain't no amount a money worth the price of loyalty. You can't buy that. Show your employees' loyalty, on the other hand, make 'em feel like they not so much dross you discard when they show a little rust and they pay you back in spades, in spades, man.

My man, Mike, sorry you lost your job but I'm really sorry you think "that's life". That aint life man, That's injustice, That's greed, That's stupidity, That's myopia to treat a man like that. That aint no kind a life look to me like worth living. Sounds like your old employer needs a nice lawsuit in the mail, teach him about the power of the working man.

Is Bernie moot? Man, I wish it were. But Mo and Posada don't think so, according to The Daily News, and we have to sign them, got to. Whatever you think a Bernie-- and we all can respectfully disagree as kindred Yankee fans-- Mo and Posada are indispensable and irreplaceable. As far as I can see so is A=Rod. Cashman bungles this one and he'll live in infamy.

That it for me, sorry to harp on Bernie-- he's my boy, class man, pure class.

Anyhow, Let's kick some ass and turn this thing around.

Peace out.
