Here we are again. Top of the 8th, Yankees up 8-6 with Derek Jeter on second and two outs. Hideki Matsui is up.

For those of you just showing up, this is the completion of a suspended game of June 28.

No word on when the game will get going as it is raining.

UPDATE, 6:52: Looks like we will be getting started on time. The rain has cleared and the teams are warming up.

UPDATE, 7:15 p.m.: Torre is not screwing around as he brings in Mo for the 5-out save.

UPDATE, 7:16 p.m.: I’ll do another post for Game 102 but here is the lineup for the schedule game: Damon DH, Jeter 6, Abreu 9, Rodriguez 5, Matsui 7, Posada 2, Cano 4, Phillips 3, Cabrera 8.

UPDATE, 7:36 p.m.: This is getting ugly. Meanwhile Rivera is probably throwing enough pitches to take him out of tonight’s game.

UPDATE, 7:38 p.m.: This is weird to see. The game is over and the fans are staying in the seats. We have no clubhouse access to later, so no quotes. But now the Yankees are 55-47 and trail the Red Sox by 7 games.

The regular game will start in 25 minutes.
