I may be in the minority opinion on this, but I beleive Kyle Fransworth will turn it around and will be effective in the bullpen like last year. He pitched OK in the last couple of outings. Remember what happened with VizCaino.

As far as Scott Proctor is concerned, the sooner we trade him the better it is. His arm is shot due to over use by Torre and will be like Tanyon and others Torre abused and killed thier careers.

We still need a reliable arm in the bullpen. It could be Gagne or Joba if trading deadline passes without any acquisition. There is always the possibility of Ramirez coming back if he can harness his fastball. Of all the guys demoted, Ramirez is the only guy who does not seem to have lost his confidence and is pitching well. May be, his personality is like Melky who went through the same.

The Yanks are not getting Texiera because they are smart and not going to overpay. Gagne is a good pickup if they can get him cheap. He is a FA at end of the season so it is a rental...

Proctor for Wigginton I pass. Ty is a good player but not that good.

I try to trade Kyle and someone else from the pen...1 addtl righty bat would also help.

The angels will miss Molina right now, Napoli got hurt...Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One can only hope that the Mariners will take Igawa off the Yankees hands.
Cashman would be smart to make that deal and correct a expensive mistake he made.
I don't know if I see it happening and the higher ups letting Igawa be traded only cause of the money they spent just to talk to him.
I think they still have hope in him and expect him to improve next season.
I don't see it happening. This is what Igawa does. It works in Japan, but not in the states.

If we can get rid of the dead weight that is Farns, then we have a chance. We need a bullpen that isn't afraid to throw strikes. Chris Britton and Jose Veras are coming back from injuries so that helps. Getting a right handed bat like Ty Wigginton can help a lot against lefties. Our starting pitching is fine because Iggy is in Scranton. Pettite had a few hiccups but he pitched well last night. Mussina is a question mark because we don't what we're going to get on any given night.

If we can trade Mussina,Phillies perhaps,it would pave the way for Hughes,Chamberlain, and Kennedy to move into the the rotation. The future is now,I believe we can win,if not this season, certainly next year and beyond would look good. The Moose wouil;d I believe OK a deal to the Phils,if only we could flesh it out and nab Rowand or Bourn, but I guess thats wishful thinking. So long Shea Hillebrand,we hardly knew ya.

Canseco appears desperate to make a name for himself. He is a joke.

Why don't the Yanks get Jeremy Guthrie? They could have in 2001, when he was drafted by the Pirates in the 3rd round but didn't sign. Where were the Yankee scouts?

The Yanks should go with what they've got and keep all the kids. A bullpen guy or another first baseman is not going to be what get this team through to the WS. Pettitte HAS to step up. Mussina HAS to step up. Hughes has to contribute. If these things happen they can win with what they have now. If they don't happen, do you think even Texiera and Gagne can offset the starting pitching and they'll win? The answer is no.
