Hughes sharp in last rehab outing

Phil Hughes made what should be his final minor-league rehab start for Scranton, facing Rochester.

He threw 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He walked three, struck out four and threw 91 pitches, 57 for strikes.

Unless something unexpected happens, expect to see Hughes start against the Royals on Saturday. It certainly would be interesting to see Hughes and Joba Chamberlain on the staff along with Wang. Now there is something to build on.
