To Torre strikes back:
Don't know if you'll even see this one, but what is the deal with giving Torre crap about resting Jeter? First of all, he is not resting his shoulder from throwing, because it's his left shoulder! Same one that he dislocated a couple of years ago. Second, it's his first day off in like 2 1/2 months! I'm glad Torre is managing and not you. Give it a rest!

It was an exciting game but the Yankees never had the lead in the game. After the 2nd inning the Yankees were outscored 5 to 1. The offense seemed to deflate after the score went to 10-8. The lack of timely hitting after the second inning lead to this defeat.

Good game to watch though the result was very disappointing.

Sweeps are nice, but a steady 2 of 3 and 3 of 4 is very good.

they took 2 out of 3 but lost the final game as they did against KC, Toronto, and others..

They need to close the door on these series.. they need some SWEEPS>>>>>

The bullpen did not do their job today and Konerko made a great play on Damon's line drive in the 7th.

Yes, Farnsworth again showed why he will not be relied up again and now when Joe sits him for a few games, he can say nothing.

But, they took 2 out of 3, and you can't get distracted from winning series. It's going to be a couple of steps forward and a step back until they play the "important" teams head to head.

So I say look on the bright side. They took 2 out of 3, made today closer than it should have been, and they have Wang on the mound against KC tomorrow.

Have a good night folks. It's not as bad is it seems.

torre should have never warmed up Viz or true he should have pitched him...SJ I cannot disagree with that...

I was not aware that Viz was warming up, torre will not admit it but he was thinking if the yanks got ahead he would bring viz in..

yeah brain surgeons Kyle at $15 mill is a worse move then Giambi at like $125 mill or Damon at $52, or Randy at $17 mill a yr and on and on... Yes Farnsworth stinks and I do hate him but keep things in perspective..

Also Igawa gets $4 mill a yr. they did not exactly think he was Santana when they signed him....

the Cano error was huge brain surgeosn.. were there any errors like that behind Garland?/NO.

Also Melky could have had the ball to center and Clemens not covering 1st hurt.

they hit him hard, absolutely but with better D they would have scored 3 not 8 in the top of the 2nd..

Garland came into an inning up by 8 and completely sucked that is a big difference but all you proffessors continue to post your dribble and nonsenes..

again if they did not have the 3rd worse bullpen in baseball they would have minimum 8 more wins.............

8 more wins they are looking at home field advantage in the palyoffs... there pen is so pathetic that you people think having a clean inning once a week per pitcher is good...

Guys, give Karstens a break, first relief outing for him, back in the majors for the first time in months.

My friend and I were talking before, between 3 of the biggest bums in the history of this game, the Yankees have pissed away 100 million dollars:

Farnsy: 15
Igawa: 46
Pavano: 40

Just despicable, disgusting. I would rather take 100 million dollars and burn every last bill in my front yard than having any of these clowns pitch for my team.
