Chipper's comments were, if read entirely, just making the point that in this steroids era, everybody will be suspected of use, and the better the performance, the more the suspicion. That, and nobody really knows what another person has done. Then the headline writers get involved... Today's Daily News does it again with Lupica's column, which has a reasonable approach to what Chipper said, coupled with another ridiculous presentation/headline. He always makes himself the center of every team he plays with and they never win anything. In fact his off the field exploits with other women, gambling, etc. are worse than what he does on the field, where he is always so childish and bush league.
