Taking the first game of a series is always big, especially this one since Karstens is throwing on Tuesday. We have to take 2 of 3 from Baltimore.
Pete,
Could you enlighten us to the status of Wang’s fingernail. Is it something he is going to have to deal with all season, or is it a non-issue at this point?
Sorry if I missed an update at some point earlier.
Also, are their any updates on the Padres/Yankees Igawa situation?
Going to tonight’s game, and I splurged on good seats. Let’s hope they can get the Baltimore monkey off their backs.
I wonder how Shelley Duncan would handle catching. Hopefully, Wang will have a strong game tonight and we might have a Posada sighting.
So is Posada playing tonight or not?
What do you guys think Melky’s numbers would be after a full season of playing everyday?
Peter, at this point, would you bet that we will be stuck with Farnsworth taking up a major league roster spot the rest of the season and Kei taking up a minor league roster spot? Would Igawa be brought up in September? IF you were a betting man, that is..
Anyone remember this?

It’s to the point of where that article is incredibly comical right now.
Jusr read it if you haven’t already.
How and why do MLB players get stiff necks? What kind of beds are they sleeping on? Do they have pillows? Or is it a phony, all-encompassing excuse to hide the real reason they are missing four games?

Totally agree , in a perfect world, we would play a 14 inning game that burns out Karstens ( we win, of course ) then we see the Third Amigo, Ian Kennedy on tomorrow and shut the birds down totally, like 9-1 !!!
