The Yankees won a game they needed as Andy Pettitte put away the Tigers. Brian Heyman has the story.

Johnny Damon has to check every day whether he is playing or not. But he’s adjusting. This notebook also has news on Kyle Farnsworth actually pitching well.

I’m watching the Little League World Series on ESPN and I think we need to get Gary Thorne to announce Yankees game!

Ummm, Rebecca Thorne actually announces for the Orioles. I live in DC and had to listen to him rip on the Yankees last week while the Yanks played the Orioles. For some reason I don’t think that he would be a good fit.
