Hope your travel wasn’t affected by the nasty Midwest weather yesterday. At least we know you’ve landed safely.

One thing that brings out good vibes from Roger Clemens is young athletes. As the father of four sons, he has a lot of experience with kids the ages of Hughes and Chamberlain etc. even Wang could benefit from some attention from Roger. He used to ‘mentor’ Andy, but Andy has outgrown him and can now be a mentor himself.

I always thought that Mel Stottlemeyer benefited from his role as a Dad while being the pitching coach.

Is Ian Kennedy on the horizon?

It’s not a good sign for the Angels that Scot Shields is fighting his mechanics this late in the season. Justin Speier isn’t much of an option for them as an 8th inning guy either. Posada proved that on Monday night. K-Rod may end up having to be his own set-up man, which is not a good spot for them to be in, obviously.

How is the Nagels all home grown?

Escobar was a free agent. Colon was a free agent.

One thing about the Angels here.

If Shields doesn’t figure it out they could lose that division.

There whole game is set up for the 8-9 with Shields and K Rod.

Bronx, forgive me because I was stuck in a world without innings caps. You’re right. Being able to wait until May to use Chamberlain in the rotation would be perfect. It sure beats waiting on Carl Pavano!

P.S. I think that Aaron Boone should be Bucky Dent’s running mate!!
