I'm not the hugest fan of pessimistic bloggers, or country music, but this is a pretty good song. congrats Kasey! And I lived in Albany for a few years--Valentine's is a great venue. Have fun!

Kasey,

Congratulations on the album and upcoming tour. Sounds good to my ears, and I'm sure it will be well received.

As an aspiring musician, I'm jealous - You're living the dream man!

Best of luck out on the road.

I saw Mtn Consolidated at SXSW about 5 or 6 years ago, they were terrific, but I've heard they've since taken a turn towards LAME.

mel's comment is CLASSIC.

Kasey,

The first person that came to my mind when I listened to your stuff was John Cougar Mellencamp. Would you consider doing a cover of "Jack and Diane"?

guy incognito,

jason koski took the cover photo and would probably be willing to set you up with one. www.jasonkoski.com

richard,

thanks for the compliments. florida just wasn't convenient this time around, but we'll be back out in the spring.

colorado we'll hit before then. at the very least, i'll do a solo show out there. KBCO is a great radio station, so artists like myself try to make col a priority. it just didn't work with this routing.

mellencamp doing petty? i guess. never thought about it.

Kasey-
Although i have almost always disagreed with your points-i always think the sky is NOT falling-i always respected you voicing your opinion. now, i respect your actual voice. i like the samples and will buy the album when it comes out. knowing you, i know you won't listen to the dart throwers now either.
i hope you get a "yankees.lhblogs.com" t shirt you can wear on tour-especially in AL cities. i only wish you could fit a florida date (Jax or Tampa) on your sched so i could catch a live show.

I LOVE the cover photograph and would pay for a poster-sized version. Kasey, if you have any left over at the end of your tour, let me know.

If I just heard that randomly I would have guessed it was John Cougar Mellencamp trying to sing like Tom Petty.
