"When he is right, his fastball does have movement. Watch how much trouble Jorge has catching it when its right. It has good movement."

You can talk about this jokes movement all you want. The bottom line is major league hitters have been creaming him for 8+ years now. For all of his wonderful recent success, Farnsworthless has made ulcer inducing messes almost every single time, escaping with his life. Tonight he wasn't so lucky picking up his dreadful and predictable path towards destruction. He still represents a tremendous problem in our pen and can single handedly unravel EVERYTHING this team has accomplished.

The Yanks will have to amend the Joba rules because as they stand now they simply don't make sense. He should be on a strict pitch count, something that will protect his arm, without benching him needlessly in critical opportunities.

The rules will and need to change, otherwise there was little reason to bring him up in the first place. Expect to hear about the amendment soon.

Hey, Jennifer. How was the game? lol.

Thanks so much for the score text info.

I'm six hours behind, so your game time is my drive time. I used it several times to keep up with the score. Kyle could've really driven a nail through their heart, but otherwise it was good, huh?

How much hair dye is Paul McCartney using nowadays? His younger brother Mike McGear was completely gray 20 years ago.
At least the Kyle Rules prevent him from being used tomorrow.

My 3 steps to fixing our pitching**

1) Keep Ian Kennedy as our #5 in the rotation. Move Mussina into the pen as our long arm and let Britton take Farnsworth's spot.

2) Hit Farnsworth with the team bus!

3) Repeat step 2.

Awesome Jennifer that you got to see such a big win in person. My buddy was there last night. He stil has the season tickets we used to share and every time he is at a game, he sends me a text that says simply "Enter Sandman" when MO comes in. I didn't get one tonight so I assume he wasnt there.

I haven't been to the Stadium at all this year, but did see the one game they won out here against the Giants, and the win against the As.

I've learned long ago not to listen to the experts. Especially ESPN.

Baseball is pure guesswork anyway. The only thing baseball guarantees is that the best teams almost always make the postseason because of how long the season lasts. But once you're in a 5 game series? Who knows?

All the Boston fans are so confident that they'll win a short series because their top 3 (Beckett, Dice, Schill) are the best. Big deal. What if Beckett has a wild outing? Schilling is off his game just a little? Their offense goes into a short-term snooze? Boom - out of the playoffs over a long weekend.

It can be turned around in the Yanks favor, too. I heard on local radio today (So Cal) that the Angels aren't worried about facing the Yankees because their starting pitching is so terrible. Really? What if Pettitte is on his game? Or Wang's sinker is working? Or Clemens has an outing like tonight?

In baseball, the playoffs are a total crapshoot.
