It's amazing how some of us are fooled by what was said ofcourse Joba is going to say it slipped, fact is it didn't it's 5 - 0 we swept them & we had K-Ram warming up while this was happening. I've seen Joba at AA and AAA that ball did not slip..

chain of events

we hit Oki

it 5 - 0 under JOBA RULES he won't pitch for 2 more days w/ TB in town

Alex's HBP was not answered

9th inning 2 throws missed perfectly in the same spot

That was an "Oh yeh it's 5 - 0 your about to be swept in NY Boston & OH YEH DON'T THINK WE FORGOT WHAT YOU DID"

Joba doesn't miss like that not from one side of the plate to the over top of a head twice when the target is low and away.

Wang, an ace or not? Who cares? He wins today after all!

As Taiwanese, we really go nuts about how great he pitches in some of the games and, of course, will feel upset and frustrated if he's not as good as expected. That's why Peter called so many Taiwanese people out there staying all night just for watching their guy stepping to the mound.

But, there's something more than that.

I received a call from my Mom who had just finished the TV live game (Yankees vs. Red Sox) when I was in office two days ago (Wednesday, Taipei Time). She was cheering on the phone, saying “we won! we won!. WE won? I was surprised at her identity with the team, because it was Andy's start that day, not Chien-Ming Wang's. Can you imagine that a Taiwanese woman, aged 80, born as a Japanese (1917, when Taiwan was colonized by Japan), used to running away from U.S. bombing in her childhood during World War II, now becomes a NYY fan sitting on the sofa for every Yankee's live game?

Ok, ejection aside, why was Joba in the game in the 9th with a 5-run lead to begin with?
