Regards FTLFTL's comments,

Your opinion has been duly noted and casually disregarded. Go play NetNanny somewhere else.I'll continue to post here about how I feel ESPN is biased and not objective. I enjoy Pete's insightful commentary and that of the other regular posters. I even enjoy NOMAAS !!! Please cite evidence of the site being "racist and homophobic", I'll be patiently waiting.

Oh, and the correct term is "drivel", not "dribble", please make a note of it for your next insignificant post.

PYF:

YOu're wrong. Beckett has never won 20 and Francona will give Beckett every chance to get it. He might not pitch 8 innings but he's going to go at least 5 with 90 pitches.

Right now it's either Sabathia or Beckett with Wang looking in.

Beckett will fail to get to 20. If the Sawx win the division, they start pulling him early.

Wang will have to pitch his Taiwanese butt off for the Yankees to play in the postseason. 22 games, maybe 5 more starts? Maybe 4-1? 3-2? 20-8? 21-7? ERA under 4?

If he is the only one at 20 once the season ends, and nobody else, he gets the Cy, period.

If he doesn't, any Yankee beat writer who gets a vote should boycott the voting, lest they be shaving creamed to death daily in the locker room.

@ wang is not an ace -

I remember my grandpa sitting me on his knee and saying Walter Johnson had the best darn QS % in the world.

QS%?

I'm going to try to ignore this bs approach to mincing numbers. I'll take the wins anytime because if you pitch against the Pirates a quality start is one thing and if you pitch against the Sawx it is another. If you want to Sabremetrician the game to death then have at it and seeya later.

Wakefield is a knuckleballer, no one takes those win totals seriously. The question is do you win the day after your team lost. Are you a stopper?

I don't think they give playoff spots to the team with the most quality starts.

end of rant

ESPN bias?

I wish some people would realize that ESPN is all about raings. It's not biased towards anything besides what's going to bring in more dollars for ads which comes from increased viewership.

Please get more informed before posting dribble on here or take it to the MLB or Nomaas message boards. You will be in perfect company there.

Jennifer:

Great website that Nomaas. Nothing like posting along side a bunch of homophobic, racist kids. It doesn't get worse than that for Yankees message boards.

Most of then were banned from NYYFans. That's sad and pathetic in it's own right.

SP, on ESPN.com front page it says
"Josh Beckett was first to 17 wins. But Chien-Ming Wang's 17th win Tuesday night was just as timely, as the Yankees extended their wild-card lead to two games over Seattle with a 12-3 victory."

The problem with using Viz is because he already stated 2 weeks ago that his arm was tired. Therefore he needs as much rest as possible. If anything I would have preferred to see Joba pitch an inning tonight as he hasn't pitched since before the suspension.

Who would expect anything approaching objectivity from ESPN ? The pro-Boston bias is nauseating. I can only sit through "Baseball Tonight" after downing a few beers.
