Mr. Abraham:

This is my first time attempting to post a comment in your blog, although I have been reading it since last fall when someone told me that you had information from Cashman that the "Phil Hughes" listed at the time on the 40-man roster on the Yankees "Official" website was actually Colter Bean. It sounded unbelievable at first, but, when the Yankees finally had to option Colter Bean at the end of spring training, they had to own up to having Colter Bean on the 40-man all along.

In any event, I want to belatedly thank you for all that you do for Yankee fans in your blog. I think that most fans realize that you and your employer do not have to do this. You seem to enjoy your work. I hope that you and your employer find this blog profitable and worthwhile in whatever format you choose to run it.

Regarding eligibility for the post-season roster, I believe that you meant to tell your readers that Humberto Sanchez was also on the 60-day DL on August 31, 2007, and would have utility equal to that of Pavano for these 2007 purposes, effectively multiplying the number of "replacement" players in the pool.

You mean "Rocky" & "Bullwinkle", right?
