When non-Yankee fans ask me, "How can you be from the South and support the Yankees?" I always say, "How can you not?" There's actually a decent bit of Yankees fans where I'm from, even though there are mainly Braves and Cardinals fans. My girlfriend loves the Braves and she laughs at me for being a Yankee fan, but I'm trying to convert her! Being a Yankee fan has been a tradition in my family for over 50 years. I had a great-grandfather who absolutely idolized Mickey Mantle. Your son is in the same position as me, I've always dreamed of going to see them at Yankee Stadium! The game with Alabama will be very telling for both sides, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes! I can't say anything bad about 'Bama. They have a respected program with lots of history.
