Alex Rodriguez homered again as the Yankees finished off their sweep of the Royals.

Derek Jeter sat out with a sore knee. This notebook also has updates on Mariano Rivera and Roger Clemens.

It sounds like Jeter is not seriously injured, just sore once in a while. If the Yankees can get a safe lead in the next week or two, he’ll get more time off.

Derek should rest. We’ll need him down the road. I’m glad Joe
    isn’t being fooled.

Nobody will ever forget Mariano and what he means to the Yankees. We love the excitement Joba brings, being a dependable reliever out of the pen.Mariano is legendary!!!!
