No Joba until tomorrow

Posted by: Peter Abraham - Posted in Misc on Sep 14, 2007 Print This Post Print This Post | Email This Post Email This Post

To the sounds of Warren Zevon’s “Stand in the Fire” live album …

The Joba Rules seem to be a little more fluid now that he’s getting used to being a reliever. But don’t expect to see him until Saturday. He threw 35 pitches on Wednesday.

The Red Sox can “win” the series by winning only one game. If they are 4.5 games up on Sunday night, they’re still in great shape. The Yankees need a sweep to make Boston sweat.

Derek Jeter refuses to talk about his gimpy right knee. But something is going on. He’s 5 of his last 34.

Anybody else notice that Mariano Rivera is getting into his playoff mode? The G.O.A.T. has thrown nine consecutive scoreless innings, allowing three singles and fanning 10. With all the days off in the playoffs, the Yankees could really shorten games with Joba, the Viz and Mo.

The Yankees are 8-7 against the Red Sox this season. They’ve won four straight in the series and seven of the last nine.

i’m a little bummed we can’t have joba tonight and sunday. wouldn’t be surprised to see torre do something, well, torre like and break a rule

    btw – 1st

  2. matt September 14th, 2007 at 3:23 pm

Andy goes 8, Mo closes it out. Youkie pouts. Yanks win!

  3. No joba... September 14th, 2007 at 3:24 pm

Good thing he will only be in one game this weekend…. lessens the chance he gets hit with a flying bat.

  4. pat September 14th, 2007 at 3:26 pm

Based on the Joba/Youk situation, will the umps issue warnings pre game or let it play out as it will?

  5. -. . --. .- - .. ...- .. - -.-- .-. ..- .-.. . ... September 14th, 2007 at 3:28 pm

Winning against the Red S.O.S and Ortiz is not realistic tonight.
So let’s pray Garza can keep MVP Ordonez in check tonight.

  6. Michael T September 14th, 2007 at 3:31 pm

To be honest, I am only concerned about avoiding a sweep. The Yankees need to lock up the wild card and start getting the pitching set and players rested for the post season. even 1 win in Boston will have us looking good down the stretch given our schedule vs. the Togers.

Speaking of pitching, IPK is up to 165 innings pitched this year. I think the powers that be would be well-advised to not push him much past 180, including the post season. I can’t imagine he threw more than 150 at USC and 30 is a big jump for a 22 year-old.

This could put the Yanks in quite a quandry if they make the playoffs, because he looked like our 3rd starter last night. Of course, he has two Torre Experienced Veterans (TM) to get by before he is trusted.

  7. Mike S. September 14th, 2007 at 3:31 pm

Mo’s rough period is roughly Aug. 7-21. We are far past that. He’s in his playoff mode now, which (except for two blips) means lights out.

  8. ROY September 14th, 2007 at 3:32 pm

    CHOWDAHEADS.com?

What is with all the Sox ads? It’s not MLB but sox ads.

    Making this site looked punked.

Take charge and get order restored.

  9. Jack September 14th, 2007 at 3:33 pm

    first in the top 10.
    Neither team will sweep.
So this series is overrated. :)

I’m nervous about these games, not because I don’t think we can win them I do. It is because of all the other garbage that will sround them. From wondering when Beckett will throw at someone and you know he will that foul mouth little boy (his mother should wash it out with soap). To wondering if something will happen in the pen with Joba out there. You know those fans are crazy! I also can’t stand watch games from there. Their fans could be quiet as church mice, but the when someone gets on base they start the Yankees suck chants. It annoys the heck out of me.

I just want a nice uneventful series, but I’m not expecting it, since something always occurs up there, not in NY.

  12. saucy September 14th, 2007 at 3:36 pm

i fell weird asking this with a serious face

    but is farnsworth available tonight?

  13. jennifer September 14th, 2007 at 3:36 pm

I”m hoping warnings are issued, stop it before it happens.

  14. Brandon September 14th, 2007 at 3:37 pm

I think it’s time we introduce Wilson Betemit to Fenway

and rest Giambi since 1B is effecting his health already. Giambi PH for tonight. Bullpen will be a little rough tonight though..I guess, if it’s a close game Farnsy :( Viz, Mo on standby and if we’re up by bunch K-Ram 7th inning, Viz 8th inning, Ohlendorf 9th.

P.S. can some one help me understand if it’s a tie game and the 1B spot comes the next inning why is it Torre subs in Minky at that point, wouldn’t that take away a scoring option ? anyway good luck guys be back later.

  15. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 3:40 pm

joba WILL pitch one inning tonight, then one on Sunday…EACH NEEDED to secure a victory…Saturday will be a Yankees Blowout…yankees win 15-3 !

  16. Joey Bagadonuts September 14th, 2007 at 3:40 pm

I love it when the Yankees play at Fenway. And although I don’t know what the stats say, it sure seems like we win an awful lot of games and almost invariably play well.

  17. ArtieA September 14th, 2007 at 3:40 pm

The Jeter thing concerns me the most right now. Peter you are right, he doesn’t look like he can push off that knee right now. And you need his great clutch bat in the line-up. One win up in Boston, one loss by the Tigers this weekend will be okay since it looks like we will handle Baltimore next week. I’d like to be 3 up before we play aginst Tampa Bay and Toronto to finish the season. We are not home yet.

  18. mel September 14th, 2007 at 3:41 pm

I don’t know if they will issue warnings, although I suspect they will because the umpires probably caught heat for ejecting Joba without warning. I do know that Matsuzaka’s control disappears when our guys are in the box.

  19. Win the season series September 14th, 2007 at 3:42 pm

If the Yanks take 2 of 3, they will have won the season series over Boston 10-8 thus need to finish just tied with Boston to win the division. I doubt Boston will collapse that badly but you never know. A sweep is a little unrealistic cuz the law of averages says Boston won’t get swept again and the Yanks are only human you know? Also name me the last time the Yanks swept Boston in two consecutive series let alone back to back ones at home and away.

I’m happy with whatever the outcome is this weekend as long as Detroit has the same record (for no gain on the Yanks) or worse record (Detroit loses ground). Ideally, the Yanks gain 3 games on Detroit, but holding at 3.5 is fine -Detroit would still be at least 3.5 back with only 9 to play thus done barring a Yankee collapse which I doubt will happen. Detroit better sweep Minnesota cuz they go to Cleveland next.

  20. Brandon September 14th, 2007 at 3:43 pm

if that piece of Japanese trash throws another ball inside to our guys and nothing happens to him I swear the MLB has their heads up thier a*s*s there better be some warning issued !!!

  21. pat September 14th, 2007 at 3:43 pm

Mientkiewicz was in for defense and based on the swings Betemit had last night, Minky’s had a better shot at getting a hit.

  22. Phil September 14th, 2007 at 3:46 pm

    Enjoy every sandwich, Pete!

  23. Andrew September 14th, 2007 at 3:47 pm

I hope they don’t throw Matsuzaka out of the game if he throws at Yankees. Julian Tavarez will just shut them down. Yankees have a really tough time against shitty pitchers.

  24. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 3:48 pm

    Tonight Yankees win 7-5
    Saturday Yankees win 15-3
    Sunday Yankees win 9-6

  25. Kill-Schill(ing) September 14th, 2007 at 3:49 pm

Line-up? Anyone hear, perhaps, of one on Mike and the Moron? Sometimes they receive one first.

  26. DMan September 14th, 2007 at 3:53 pm

I’m definitly getting over excited for these games. I won’t be able to sit still.

  27. Brandon September 14th, 2007 at 3:54 pm

Pat, are you serious ? lets be honest AJ Burnett allowed 4 hits Alex single, Jetes single , Molina single and Damon HR. What happened last night was he dominated and he is a dominant SP, Mientkiewicz had no shot atleast Betemit posesses a chance, that move was Joe being Joe worrying what might happen. I mean we’re not going to go undefeated or anything but he’s done this move a few times already.

  28. Win the season series September 14th, 2007 at 3:54 pm

How does this six-man rotation for the remainder of the regular season sound?

    Pettitte/ Wang/ Clemens this weekend
    Hughes/ Mussina/ Kennedy vs. Baltimore
    Day off
    Pettitte/ Wang/ Clemens/ Hughes vs. Toronto
    Mussina/ Kennedy/ Pettitte @ Tampa Bay
(Clemens and Wang avoid T.B.’s artificial turf)
    Wang/ Clemens/ Hughes @ Baltimore

It seems like too much rest for the Yank starters, but I could see it implemented so the Yanks don’t have Wang or Clemens on artificial turf. Couldn’t they set it up so neither pitches on it with a 5-man rotation?

    A.L.D.S: Wang/ Pettitte/ Clemens/ Mussina or Hughes/ Wang

Would you give Kennedy serious consideration for Game 4 if he keeps pitching like he has (19 IP, 5 R, 4 ER in 3 GS)?
Hughes’ last 2 starts have been solid (just a 2-run hiccup in 6 IP each start) and Mussina gave a nice performance in his return start (5 2/3 scoreless IP), but if both stumble, does I.P.K. get the nod? Would he be eligible for the postseason or is he not since he made his first start the day he got called up (9/1)?

  29. randy l September 14th, 2007 at 3:56 pm

“The Red Sox can “winâ€? the series by winning only one game.”
that’s not true because if the yankees take two of three, they’ll be in good shape with the wild card. if the yankees make it into the playoffs, the red sox will be sweating buckets that they’ll come across each other in the second round.
the red sox want to knock the yankees out of the wild card. the only way to do that is too take two of three. one win would be devasting to their morale.
they’d know they are the team that is barely over .500 for the last three months.

  30. +++---=0 September 14th, 2007 at 3:58 pm

this is wat will happen dice- k is gunna hit arod then there would be a warning and and when we try to get revenge we will get ejected but Thank god we got krazy kyle who can beat any of thos drunkin little idiots

  31. saucy September 14th, 2007 at 4:01 pm

“I don’t know if they will issue warnings, although I suspect they will because the umpires probably caught heat for ejecting Joba without warning.”

i doubt Angel Hernandez caught any heat for ejecting Joba…

In fact, the suspension was pretty much MLB giving their stamp of approval on the ejection…

  32. DMan September 14th, 2007 at 4:03 pm

Anybody want to take a guess at how many times we’ll hear about/ see replays of those pitches by Joba?

    Im going with 25.

  33. SJ44 September 14th, 2007 at 4:04 pm

Why in the world do they need to bench Giambi for Betemit?

In case you haven’t noticed, Betemit has struck out in almost all of his AB’s in recent weeks. Three more times last night.

He’s hitting .220 as a Yankee. He isn’t the “answer”. He’s a nice bench component and that’s about it.

Sorry but, I want Giambi in the lineup this entire series. He’s a better hitter and he has played first quite well since his return.

All this Betemit talk reminds me of the Chris Britton talk from earlier in the year. Folks have a tendency to pump up marginal players in the mistaken belief they become supermen as Yankees.

They are bench/middle relievers for a reason. They aren’t good players.

  34. Win the season series September 14th, 2007 at 4:06 pm

Here’s my Yankees batting order for the entire postseason:

Damon LF (he’s a better LF than Matsui at this point)
    Jeter
    Abreu
    Rodriguez
    Matsui DH
    Posada
    Giambi 1B
    Cano
    Cabrera

The three games in the N.L. park in the World Series:

    Damon CF
    Jeter
    Abreu
    Rodriguez
    Matsui LF
    Posada
    Giambi
    Cano
    Pitcher

You can’t have Betemit or Mientkiewicz then the pitcher and no Giambi, you just can’t. You bring in Mientkiewicz for late-inning defense with the lead only. You can’t take Giambi’s bat out of the lineup down a run or tied late.

  35. DesignatedBlogger September 14th, 2007 at 4:10 pm

Dice K drilled ARod in the ribs last time and he just went to first without any fanfare. Lets see what happens tonight.

  36. Phil September 14th, 2007 at 4:12 pm

According to the papers, Giambi didn’t play and was pulled in the 6th of the previous game because he was “feeling it” in his legs. He wasn’t benched for Betemit.

  37. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 4:13 pm

Chew on this for a bit….AFTER the Yankees Sweep the BumSox…they will have gone 65-34 since that fateful day that we fell 14.5 games back ( May 29th )…during that same time period….the mighty Boston Iceholes will have gone a “yawn” 53-46. “Oh, how the mighty have fallen”…and after 2 sweeps in a row, the panic in that city, if you can call it that, Pete, will be FULL BLOWN !

  38. randy l September 14th, 2007 at 4:13 pm

    listen folks-
if we don’t use the phrase “red sox”, there won’t be any red sox ads in the google ad boxes. google has an algorithm that scans the blogs content and ads are picked based on content. call them the “rs” or whatever, but not using the “red sox” will stop the google red sox ads.
or to be really mischievous, you could click on red sox ads hundreds of times and that would cost the red sox advertisers about 25 cents a click. and peter’s blog would make lots of money. i’m not advocating that. i’m just saying that’s how it works.

  39. pat September 14th, 2007 at 4:14 pm

    Brandon

Quite serious. Burnett was on last night but Betemit had already struck out 3 times. How could Minky have done worse? Betemit never played first base before coming to the yankees. Close and late I’m going with the glove and letting one of the others in the line-up handle the bat.

  40. Phil September 14th, 2007 at 4:14 pm

Talking about a WS lineup is a bit premature…but, based on what Torre has done this season, I don’t think he’d sit Melky in an NL park.

  41. Kill-Schill(ing) September 14th, 2007 at 4:14 pm

tonight’s lineup? Anyone know or wish to hazard a guess?

I would bet if a night off has restored Giambi his stamina and strength, Joe will play him.

  42. mel September 14th, 2007 at 4:15 pm

    http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/.....14_NYY@BOS

A cool snapshot of the two teams over the last week…Check out the bullpen guys…2 Yankees have bloated ERA’s…Also Jeter not even on the batting average chart…Hopefully the Sox will be a cure for his, you know…Batter vs. Pitcher may give a hint @ who cracks the lineup today (Giambi’s batting .600 against DM)…Accuscore projection has this contest in a dead heat with Boston as the slight favorite…Hopefully, the Yankees prevail.

  43. ray (civil sox fan) September 14th, 2007 at 4:17 pm

    Brandon,
Your “piece of Japanese trash” comment demonstrates your lack of class and that you fall into the category of a Yankee troll.

  44. Rob L. September 14th, 2007 at 4:17 pm

I would love to see a real bench clearing brawl tonight. Could you imagine a crazed Shelley Duncan charging at some poor Red Sox player. It could get real ugly.

  45. SJ44 September 14th, 2007 at 4:18 pm

    Tonights Lineup:

    Damon (DH)
    Jeter
    Abreu
    Arod
    Posada
    Matsui (LF)
    Giambi
    Cano
    Melky

He switched Posada and Matsui in the order. I suspect its to get Arod to see better pitches.

  46. mel September 14th, 2007 at 4:19 pm

The ads are o.k. Just get rid of Charlie Chowda. He looks like a 13-yr old watching a pole dancer. It’s gross.

  47. SJ44 September 14th, 2007 at 4:20 pm

A brawl makes real sense. Let’s get a bunch of guys suspended for the final games of the year as they try to make the playoffs.

    That would be real smart.

How about we just play baseball, win a series, and leave the punk stuff to the punks?

  48. DMan September 14th, 2007 at 4:20 pm

    randyl

    Hmm thats pretty interesting!

Kind of a waste for that advertiser. Oh well!

  49. Smant September 14th, 2007 at 4:22 pm

I love the “7 out of 9″ vs. the Sox… The Yanks have clearly been the better team the majority of the year. (.650 WP vs. .540 WP)

  50. randy l September 14th, 2007 at 4:22 pm

the chowder heads ad on the top of the blog is a google ad too. if we don’t say ” red sox” , it should go away.

  51. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 4:23 pm

    Damon (DH)
    Jeter
    Abreu
    Arod
    Posada
    Matsui (LF)
    Giambi
    Cano
    Melky

NICE….Matsutinka will wish he was back in Japan…NO WAY he reaches the 5th inning….I’d like to see him try to hit one of our guys after being warned…He doesn’t have the Nads to do it…and if he did, I’d like to see him flailing his arms like a girl in the fight that ensued…

  52. mel September 14th, 2007 at 4:23 pm

How about if we call them “Socks” cuz it would be rude to call them “Sux”.

No brawling needed. Complete focus, eye on the prize and harnessed emotional energy is what we need tonight.

  55. Yank-Bosox Brawls September 14th, 2007 at 4:27 pm

I’m a Yankee fan, and I thought Pedro Martinez was right to throw Don Zimmer to the ground. Here’s why:

    1. Pedro did not plan to throw Zimmer to the ground. It was entirely instinctual as who would’ve ever thought Zimmer would’ve went after any Red Sox player let alone Pedro? And since when do coaches go after players? Zimmer is lucky he wasn’t suspended for the entire A.L.C.S. I’m suprised he wasn’t cuz coaches and managers should be held to the highest standard in conduct during brawls.

    2. If someone’s coming after you and you don’t have time to sidestep or don’t want to chance the guy getting hold of you if you do, you’re not standing your ground? I am cuz I have no choice. Also I’m respecting the attacker. Zimmer was old then, yeah, but he could hurt you even if just a little if he gets his hands on you, the guy must have a handshake as hard as anyone. You want Zimmer to punch you in the mouth and you think you’re just standing there unscathed? GTFOH
    that would hurt.

    3. Zimmer thought and probably still thinks he can still kick a ss, so he should be prepared to risk getting his a ss kicked when he tries to. You wanna dish it out, be prepared to take it and possibly suffer a loss. You can’t charge after Pedro then bawl at a press conference that day like “woe is me”. You went after the guy, he threw you down, take it like a man i.e. like who you thought you were when you went after him.

    4. What if Zimmer had got hold of Pedro, Pedro hurt his pitching hand trying to get Zimmer off of him, and Pedro wasn’t able to pitch Game 7 of the A.L.C.S. I’d have to imagine M.L.B. would have to suspend a Yankee starter of Boston’s choice, and who do you think they’d choose? Yep, Clemens. If Boston lost Game 7 without Pedro no matter what Yankee was pitching that game, there’d have been an asterisk on that and a Yankee pennant or World Series forever and that would’ve been awful for Yankees history.

  56. Brandon September 14th, 2007 at 4:27 pm

IPK thanks I’m on it :D

POSITIVE POSITIVE HUGE WIN FOR NEW YORK TONIGHT !!!

  58. Mike C September 14th, 2007 at 4:34 pm

I was just on Baseball Reference and Pettite has 199 wins entering tonight. Win 200 against the Red Sox in a pennant race would be fantastic.

  59. Luthien September 14th, 2007 at 4:34 pm

For those wondering about the ads, most of them are based on the content on the web page. So with all the talk about the Sox, that is likely where it comes from.

  60. randy l September 14th, 2007 at 4:35 pm

beaneaters.pinkies.dunderheads…. it’s very limiting having to be politically correct for the blog.” socks” is good though. that would work.

  61. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 4:38 pm

I like idiots, I mean, THEY like being called idiots, right ? Tonight the Yankees take on the Idiots ( although with all the refernces to Idiots, wouldn’t the same “other team” ads pop-up by default ? ) LOL

  62. Uncle Vito September 14th, 2007 at 4:38 pm

    dunderheads works too….

  63. Yank-Bosox Brawls September 14th, 2007 at 4:42 pm

Let me say this though about Pedro, that game, and Boston in general:

Pedro should’ve been tossed when he faced the Yankees dugout and pointed to his head like he would hit someone in the head, specifically Posada who I distinctly remember having words with him. The homeplate ump tossed Clemens in Game 3 of the 1990 A.L.C.S. for cursing him out. One might say that ump could’ve sternly warned Clemens he’s out if he keeps running his mouth as it was a postseason series, you don’t want to throw out a guy unless you absolutely had to. It was a delay of game and doesn’t the ump have discretion to eject any player for causing that? So yes, Pedro vs. Zimmer should’ve never happened in the first place -and wouldn’t have cuz Pedro would’ve been suspended for the remainder of the series if he ran on the field after being ejected.

THAT’S what really pissed me off about that day, not what Pedro did to Zimmer. I don’t like Zimmer. I think he’s a crybaby and an ingrate. He made more as the bench coach for the Yanks than his entire career before that and he badmouths the owner. He’s a selfish man cuz his first words literally minutes after the triumph over Boston courtesy of Aaron Boone was nothing but vitriol towards Steinbrenner and what a punk move by Zimmer cuz how’s Steinbrenner gonna can him during the postseason? Steinbrenner didn’t fire Zimmer right then and there for the good of the team and was right not to fire him at all -why give that toad free money even if his contract ran out a week or whenever after the series?
You just win a thrilling game and series and the first words out of your mouth are your personal beef with the owner or anyone?

Onto Boston. Can someone tell me the last time a Red Sox pitcher was tossed from a Boston-Yanks game wherever.

  64. saucy September 14th, 2007 at 4:43 pm

Betemit cannot hit the offspeed pitch, he is a pure fastbaLL HITTER, HE LOOKED terrible last night but is a good backup.

Kyle is a joke, big musclerer guy but cannot pitch back to back and is oftern hurt… Obviously they missed him last night and that is a scary statement. with the Joba rules they need Krazy kyle to be available…

    go TWINS…..

  69. randy l September 14th, 2007 at 4:48 pm

i think when you pay for a google adsense ad you pick a lot of words that could relate to your product so” idiots” might be a problem. good point.
if we could swear on this blog it’s be no problem naming them.

  70. raymagnetic September 14th, 2007 at 4:53 pm

This blog is getting dumbed down by the day with all the talk about hitting players with pitches and bench clearing brawls. If you guys want to see brawls you should go watch some WWE contests. What if the Yankees get into a fight and someone Pettitte or Mo or Wang gets a broken finger, or Alex or Jeter break a toe, yes that would surely teach somebody.

  71. Lawyers, Guns, and Money September 14th, 2007 at 5:01 pm

    “idiots has potential .

except that “Red Sox” and “idiots” might be synonymous to most search engines.

  72. SJ44 September 14th, 2007 at 5:02 pm

I agree. The brawl talk is the kind of punk stuff you would expect from Red Sox fans, not Yankee fans.

Unless they are giving World Series Rings for brawling, I see no point in discussing it.

Its idiot talk and there are plenty of places some of you can go to talk that nonsense. Let’s keep it out of here.

Its why I hate Yankee-Red Sox series now. Baseball talk ends and its filled with 10 year olds talking idiotic trash.

I totally agree with SJ44 (and some others) on all of the beanball/brawl posturing. There’s too much testosterone-laden bravado from both camps, wherein alleged baseball fans can’t wait to see ARod drilled (or avenged) and/or Youkilis drilled (or avenged). As SJ44 states, it is “idiotic trash.” Calm down …. this isn’t the U.S. vs. Iraq, for goodness’ sake.

Plenty of Yankee fans talk about brawls on this blog, probably more than Red Sox fans cuz who constantly brings up Youkilis, Varitek, etc. on here? Yankee fans cuz those Boston basta rds have done what they’ve done and it has affected games, plus I don’t like how Boston uses dirty pool to affect games. If the Yanks want to return the favor, good, just be smart about it. Have Chris Britton drill Manny in the bottom of the 9th up 8-2 with 2 outs. Cut the cra p about suspensions, you know as well as I do A-Rod, Pettitte, Mo, Wang, Jeter, Matsui basically the top 10 players on the team won’t get tossed. Also we can’t deny that brawls are an element to the rivalry. Is it needed? Of course it isn’t, but at some point you have to put your foot down and say enough with the HBP by Boston. If Mike Timlin hits Shelley Duncan, I’m all for Shelley charging him cuz it sends a message “We will not be f&cked with anymore.” It makes Boston think twice. So drop the namecalling and calling people 10 year olds and realize the beef is part of the rivalry.

    Another thing:

When I say brawls aren’t needed, I mean they shouldn’t be a regular/ steady occurence. However, a team needs to start one if they are constantly getting messed with. Case in point: Soriano then Jeter getting drilled by Pedro in back-to-back at-bats. The next guy up should’ve pointed at Pedro and said “Watch it.” If Varitek and the ump wanted to get between the batter and Pedro and it breaks up quickly, whatever, at least it gets Pedro thinking twice. Maybe Pedro doesn’t go inside. What do you think that pri ck Youkilis was doing to Joba staring at him?

Think about it: Youkilis and the rest of the Red Sox hear then see on video Joba blowing away guys left and right, I mean just dispatching with guys, you think they didn’t think
“Let’s get inside this kid’s head so he isn’t/ is less than a lethal weapon against us in the A.L.C.S.”? Then you’re nuts. They 110% started in with Joba and that Boston-sympathizer/ Yankee-hating pri ck Angel H/Fernandez (whatever his last name is) went right along with it. What utter bull that Joba got tossed then suspended!

Google ads are invariably identified as Google ads. There is no such ID on the chowdaheadz ad. I am sure the ad is placed deliberately on Pete’s page to diss/tweak Yankees fans here. A complete waste of money on their part, of course, but I guess it’s worth it to them for the psychological satisfaction. Typical frustrated/neurotic sox fan behavior.

the cool thing about the chowderhead ads is they pay per click for the right to play head games.

I click once a visit and I visit five or six times daily. Costs em at least a buck a pop.

enjoy creating some ad revenue for Pete’s paper
