I voted to brand it anyone else partake in the voting?

Even tho he’s a Yanks fan, he wisely wore an unbranded hat on the taped show. I don’t ever wear designer clothes with a logo on them but will go find something Ecko to wear. I hope he gets a lot of publicity for his money, it’s a great idea.

  3. Fan27

I wish I had $752,467 to spend on something I’m not even sure I wanted!!!

Bestow it. Everyone needs to get off of their high horses. We had already moved on from the subject and now it’s cropped up again.

    Playoffs!

  5. CA Yankee Fan

    I love the branding idea.

    Pete,

How about having a similar poll for Patriot’s championships? Like I said earlier, IMHO, what patriots did is 1st degree murder compared to Bond’s man slaughter.

I voted to banish it. ALthough I do like the branding idea.

Hey Pete that ad is back again!

  9. saucy

the branding idea is just genius

I was talking to another guy a couple weeks back about what I would have done if I had been the fan who caught the ball, which would have been to write “STEROIDS” on it in big letters with a Sharpie, then toss it back onto the field.

Ecko’s idea is a bit classier in its execution, but gets to the same point. It got my vote.

  11. Pat

    I voted to brand it

  12. Pat

Actually he should brand it and THEN donate it to the hall of fame so everyone can see the * on it lol

  13. Pat

ok nevermind, that’s already the plan lol Just goes to show… he had me at “burn an asteric into the ball”

  14. ivan

Um… how about just a question mark branded into the ball?

  15. Brian M

I dont get it. He spent $.75M on it and is leaving it up to the internets?

Is he getting more than $.75M worth of promotion I wonder? How much would $.75M of advertising get you? He was on the today show, probably others too, and yahoo.com etc. Lots of prime time coverage.

Or am I just getting cynical in my old age?

  16. Justin

No, you’re right he probably is doing well with the advertising, but I’m sure he genuinely cares about the subject as well, the advertising is just a perk. I voted to brand it and give it to the Hall of Fame! That would be hysterical. I don’t know if the Hall of Fame would display it that way though, what do you guys think?

  17. mark

I think all yankee fans will be cheering for barry if Georgie signs him to be your DH next season….

  18. Cris

Barry Bonds sucks do what ever you want just dont give it to cooperstown blow it up

  19. saucy

yeah mark, cause the yanks are sure on the market for an aging outfield liability/DH type…

I think Mark Ecko is an idiot. Barry hasn’t even tesed positive for steroids no “innocent until proven guilty?” Every one picks on Barry because he is not very personable. I bet if he were a Yankee or Redsox player their fans would vote to give the ball to the hall of fame. Barry’s stats this year are better than 75% of MLB players and he is 43. I guess what I’m trying to say is Mark Ecko should stick the ball up his a** then jump off the brooklyn bridge maybe then he’ll get the publicity he wants. By the way Mark you just lost another customer!!!!!!
