Baseball America wrote a nice story this past week on the evolution of the Thunder logo. After looking at their last two logos, the new one looks spectacular.

Chase the Bat Dog doesn't get enough PT. I was there in the first round of the playoffs and they only used him in the 1st inning. The Greensboro Grasshoppers in Class A Sally League have a batdog named Miss Babe Ruth who gets to do her thing for 3 innings.

Congratulations Thunder on the title. But the new logo looks terrible.

Undoubtedly the Thunder's success is due to the efforts of Chase, the bat dog.

My adult baseball league had their All Star Game in Waterfront Park this year. I have to tell you, this is an awesome place to watch a game in, let alone play a game in.
Trying to jack a ball out in left field takes a lot of power with that 30 foot wall.
Anyway, area not withstanding, it's a beautiful ballpark.

I’m sure Trenton is enjoying this. It’s amazing what the success of a baseball team can do for the personality of a city. It doesn’t really matter what league or how big the city is. I offer this as proof that every city should have a baseball team. I think old New York-Penn League towns like Geneva, Watertown, Utica and Elmira who have lost their teams would second that.

Was watching is good, he's bit of a pessimist, though. Chad Jennings (Scranton beat writer) has a good blog for keeping track of Yankee prospects.

Surviving Grady is a Red Sox blog, but the guys mix in a lot of humor. It's fun to go there after a Sox loss.

si.com has a good Yankees page for links to articles/blogs. Also has the starting pitchers/stats for the next game plus articles/blogs (bulletin board material) on next opponent. For some reason, neither The Journal nor the best Yankee blog (this one!) is linked there. Get your bosses on it, Pete!

do they have any playoffs in minors?? If so, who are they playing??? I drive thru the thunder waterfront park everyday and its about 1/2 mile from where I work.. Its a nice park though and usually gets filled up.. they were also voted the best minor league franchisee for last year..

JRVJs names some solid blogs. Also check out some of our fan blogs too! We might not all have access to the players and such, but we're fans and have a passion for writing about this team!

I also love how Shelley's picture is at the top of the Thunder homepage hah.
