The win tonight was No. 200 for Andy Pettitte. He had his parents and wife in the crowd and seemed pretty pleased with the milestone. He’s the 26th lefty to get there.

Pettitte is 200-112 in his career. Mariano Rivera has saved 49 of those wins.

“I’m glad we were able to do that and get a big win for Andy. I think he deserves it,” Rivera said. “He’s a classy guy you want to give everything you’ve got to.”

Rivera gave Pettitte the ball when the game was over. “I told him it was a pleasure to play with him,” Rivera said. “It means everything to have him back.”

For those of you curious, here are the pitching matchups for the Boston-Tampa series:

Friday: Beckett-Kazmir

Saturday: Matsuzaka-Sonnanstine

Sunday: Wakefield-Jackson
