Quite a 2007 for Chamberlain so far

Everybody knows what Joba Chamberlain has done for the Yankees since he was called up.

But check out his stats for the entire season:

106.2 innings
72 hits
27 runs
25 earned runs
32 walks
159 strikeouts
11-2, 2.11 ERA

To me, this is why you have to make him a starter for next season. No matter how good he has looked coming out of the bullpen, there is more value in getting 150+ innings from him as a starter.

ESPN has asked me to tape a segment for SportsCenter tonight. So check that out if you get a chance. I’ll mention you all by name. OK, well probably not.
