Baseball America, the authority on such things, is reporting that Mike Gillespie will leave the Yankees after one season and go back to the college ranks to coach UC Irvine.
The former USC coach, Gillespie managed the Staten Island Yankees to a 47-28 record this season.
oh word?
I was wondering why he left his longtime job at USC (I think) to go to Staten Island. Seems similar to a lot of college coaches who try the NBA or NFL, lured by the money and the challenge, only to find they miss what they had.
Magic Number is 1. Who Hoo!!
ummmmm…ok…? …..I mean….cool! ….not cool?…
Do they know who he is in his own house?
Yo Pete – Re: Terms & conditions … Looks like a nice compromise to registration. I like it. One thing I’m curious about is, are we allowed to so a little defamatory commenting on the Red Sox and their brainwashed (‘scuse libeluos me!) followers? Within reason and while keeping it relevant to topic of the du jour of course. Some of us have been know to … ah .. er .. well .. uhh … rant a little about the enemy and their propoganda.
As long as the trolls are held at bay, I think that’s what everyone appreciates … cheers!
