Pop the corks, it’s playoff time

A 48-24 second half was beyond what even the most optimistic fan could have hoped for. They probably won’t catch the Red Sox but getting to the playoffs is a significant accomplishment.

The Yankees will never be the little train that could, not with their payroll and resources. But they overcame injuries, some bad luck and Carl Pavano being the Opening Day starter.

Once I get done with my story, I’ll post a bunch of audio clips from the celebration.
