there's no such as a sure thing in baseball... but I am more confident going into the post-season this year than I've been in a few years. their attitude is so positive - - and I think we've got all the youngsters to thank for that. Mr Duncan has been great in his official rule as "Spirit Coordinator".

Peter, thanks for all the great reporting this season. I'd hate to lose you, but you might wanna consider applying for this guy's job. I voted "none of the above". Apparently, according to MLB.com, the Indians have won "the only postseason matchup between the two clubs", in 1997. It's as if 1998 never happened! Don't these people have editors? This is not some mom-and-pop paper based out of Findlay, OH....it's MLB.com! And it's not just a simple fact thrown into the story, it's kind of central to the article. This writer has an amazing job; he gets paid to follow baseball. He can't even get the most basic facts right. Lame!

You would think that one of the requirements of being a "national baseball reporter" is a thorough grasp of recent MLB history. I figured there was such a thing as "fact-checking" too. oh well. thanks for the blog Pete, it's first-rate!

I remembered about the project A13 website about 2 weeks ago. I never checked it out before the season but looked at it a few weeks ago. The guy who did it couldn't have possibly envisioned A-Rod having the kind of season he ended up with. Talk about optimism.

in '03 I was in Germany and watched the Boone hr from the office at 5am or so....one of the greatest nights ever and I am screaming and jumping up and down in an office building in Bonn.....

Clay: just 2. But I don't really want to spend a lot, since I already spent so much on World Series and ALCS (which is kind of why I missed the boat on ALDS) Thanks!

I checked on stub hub and ebay and stuff, and they're asking $80 and $100 and stuff even just for bleachers per ticket for ALDS. That's just plain crazy--actual face value is less than $30!

It was really nice to see Molina getting those hits, today. Whatever happens, I would really like to see him back next season; a very solid defensive catcher, who seems to have fitted in extraordinarily well, too.

Andrea,

I know a bunch of season tix holders. How many tickets are you looking for for the ALDS? I'll check around.

Remember the A-Rod mission website from the beginning of the season? Man did that turn out to be unnecessary.
