Toledo (aka Philadelphia) Yankee Fan

Maybe having watched Tom blow a game or two in the 04 ALCS has left an indelible imprint on me which I can never erase.

Nice guy, great teammate, great in the regular season, but if you look at his stats, an absolute post-season disaster.

If you really were a serious Yankee fan, you would realize this.

Since you are likely a Philly troll, all I can say to you is good luck.

Yeah, WTF does Tom Gordon know about pitching in the show? Give me the insight of some random Yankee fan in Pittsburgh anyday.

What a lot of fun things happening today.

First off, our old friend Steve Phillips. So he admits that he was wrong about the Yankees this year, then lets it slip that the series may hinge on Clemens, who is "not up to it." I guess he's really in the "twilight of his career," now, Steve. It's great that he brings this up so we can compare him to another simply amazing GM, Dan Duquette. There is a reason neither one of these two has a serious job in baseball. Bozo.

Tom Gordon on Joba...thanks Tom, for your insight. Now can you provide us with some insight into your absolutely horrific postseason ERA? Phils win! Yay! Gordon closing in the post-season! Ummmmm...

Kyle Farnsworth heard his hip pop, yet is will likely be on the post-season roster. You can replace injured players on the post-season roster, but they cannot play again in the post-season, according to the new rules. We may have something here with Kyle which may actually benefit the team.

Finally, the Sox thought they were being cute by taking the 8 day series. Be careful what you wish for. I think the Sox actually beleive what ESPN says about the strength of their pitching. Suckers.

migames,

I knew he wouldn't post the rebuttal, but I said something like "Wasn't talking about this series in particular, and even though ESPN talks about the Yankees alot, there's a bias against them. (ahem Steve P.)
