Injury for Mientkiewicz?

I’ll find out more about this later but there appears to be some sort of injury concern regarding Doug Mientkiewicz.

The first baseman, who is supposed to be in the starting lineup, is on the field now doing agility drills with Joe Torre and Don Mattingly watching. This is not normal procedure.

He has his left ankle wrapped. Back with more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE, 3:22 p.m.: Well, I went down to the field to try and find out what was going on but the workout had broken up by the time I got there. We’re meeting with Joe Torre in 37 minutes and I’ll post an update as soon as I can.
