Brian Cashman: Survivor

The three general managers with the most seniority in baseball have stepped down in recent weeks. We’re talking about Walt Jocketty, Terry Ryan and John Schuerholz.

Brian Cashman (hired Feb. 3, 1998) has now been on the job longer than all but three other GMs: Kevin Towers (95), Brian Sabean (96) and Billy Beane (97).

Quite a statement considering who he works for.
