rover, i’m pretty sure miggy only had a 1 year contract anyhow. we have a wilson contract a few more years.

when it comes to personnel, sometime the yankess don’t know what they have till they don’t have it. witness the miggy/betemit deal. with miggy one knew what they had and he gave all of it. wilson, the book is still out, but i’m not yet impressed. losing miggy i think hurt the yanks. i would be real careful what i did with torre. they treated miggy poorly, and for one i don’t know why. aside from a bit of pop, and i mean a bit in his bat, wilson will have a difficult time just carrying miggys jock strap. i give up.

Pete’s mention of the somber black cars and long faces says something. On top of seeing a picture of Hank whose expression looks like at least 50 people died.I mean really bad–I can’t even look at it. You don’t go around looking like this if anything is rolling along. They are acting like it’s a funeral because with all the public support they’ve allowed Joe to receive, it will be.

I agree completely with you. That was particularly bad by Manny, especially since his team was down FOUR runs in a BIG playoff game. But making a big deal of it would lead to nothing good.

YankeeJosh- You’re right, but it just bugs me when he does that. I just think that it crosses the line and is somewhat unprofessional, but that’s just my opinion. Of course if Cleveland holds on and wins the series all is forgotten!

I am watching the sux game… the announcers are laughable.. Buck said the imminent superstar Jacoby Ellsbury. I think he will be a good player but after about 50 AB’s I would not call him a future superstar. He also is bragging about the red sux minor leagues and how many players on there roster they have developed; I count about 7 players max…..

these guys are dumb and uninformed…
