The thing I hate is when people like you decide to recklessly throw down the race card when there’s no substance to it.

I said last week that Valentine, Hillman, and Pena don’t have a chance at this job because Girardi and Mattingly are the two guys with the star power to replace Torre.

I guess I dismissed Valentine and Hillman because of race too, huh?

Just because you are promoting Pena’s candidacy primarily because of his ethnic background doesn’t mean I’m dismissing him for the same reason.

Girardi is going to be a disaster. I hope they choose him as the Dark Ages are coming/here all ready. Little Stein as the new Boss is worse, much worse than the old Boss. Too bad about Pena…….another example of Stein arrogance…Pena the new sacrificial lamb.

I have no problem with 3 years for Posada because he can always DH or perhaps play first in his last year.

When you roll the dice, like the Yankees did, and not re-sign him in the spring, that’s the price you pay. It costs you an extra year.

I don’t think the Yankees have any problems paying it, nor should they because its a fair deal.
