He is obviously going to let the baseball people make the decisions and mostly keep his nose out of things. It may take a couple of years to get rid of the deadwood and bring in some real ballplayers but it will only be for the best in the long run. If that were the case, the Toronto Blue Jays would have the second best record in the AL. They were second in the League with a 4.31 ERA. And the San Diego Padres would have won the NL. They led their league with a 4.89 ERA. Please Schill- the Blue Jays didn't get their rotation in order until late in the second half when Burnett decided to start pitching again. Also the Jays offense isn't even close to the Yankees offense. Even without arod the yankees have enough players who can hit the team into the postseason. And the Padres, they ahve no offense at all. Now if the yankees lost Posada, Arod, Damon and cano this year, then I'd say our offense is hurting. But while not as potenent, there is still a lot of offense to go around.
