That would be so great if O'Neill signs as a coach with Girardi, even better as a first base coach. Then we when play Boston he can keep telling Youklis that he "knows Paul O'Neill and you, sir, are no Paul O'Neill".

if you want speed, go with rowand, if you want patience at the plate and more power, stick with abreu. i am not a big abreu guy, don't get me wrong, but with the loss of A-Rod, we need as much pop as we can get, even if abreu's hr totals are down...likewise, rowand will get overpaid in this year's FA market.

no SoS,

Further devoids our team of power. Remember, Rowand had such a great year playing in Philly...that ballpark is like Mile High, balls fly.

SJ44,

Perhaps Crede would be a good fit. One of my friends hung out with the White Sox during spring training the summer after they won it all and said that Crede was one of the most arrogant, rude a$$holes he's ever met. No joke. Said Podsednik was a super-nice guy as was Jermaine Dye.

SJ44: "I’m all for discussing Arod’s next destination. It would be nice though if some thought went into these stories."

What is your take on the possibility of Arod going to the Red Sox?

I know that they would never sign him, but he would definitely play for them as big as his ego is.

oh please, Curt Schilling coming to pitch for the Yankees is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. He would retire before wearing pinstripes!
