I agree with your point. Anyone that has some kind of affiliation with any team should not have that responsibility. I only focused on the Sox because of Mitchell’s ties with them.

It doesn’t matter if he was on the board of the SF Giants. The point is that he is on the board of a Baseball team and that represents an appearance of conflict of interest.

How much do you think it would take to draw him away from the brew-crew? How much is to much?

See what i dont get is why we all want to see our young talent traded away so badly for these big names. Why should we give up guys like kennedy, clippard, desalvo, hughes or joba it makes no sense we took the time to get young talent into our organisation to do what just trade it for a waste of a perfectly good true yankee for another gAy-Wod. If you ask me, i would say its the young talent that sparked our team and pushed us back into the playoff run. So why not keep the guys we have and makes moves with guys like farnsworth who who dont need that bad for our future.

It’s kind of interesting–my friends who are Sox fans have all noticed, and all agree that the point isn’t whether or not Mitchell did anything, but that he shouldn’t have been appointed in the first place.
