Not to nitpick but if there was no caption telling who the guy on the left was, I would have thought it was Melky. It looks more like Melky than Cano. I think maybe he made a mistake; it looks like Melky.

Some how, trading two top end, young pitchers, another pitcher and a center fielder for one pitcher, with some milage on his arm and 6-7 years older than the 3 you’re moving seems rather pointless.

Who’s going to plug that hole in the rotation? Pettitte may not return, and Mussina would need to ray healthy. You’d then be down to three starters and in just as big a mess as last year was, except, now you also have a hole in center field. Why not wait the year out, because, there’s no reason for Santana to sign an extention with a team he might not want to be with. Not worth the cost in young talent plus salary of Santana and free agent center fielder plus the loss of a top draft pick.

Thats true. Some settled in Canada (eskimos), some in the continental U.S.A. (American Indians), and some settled in the Polynisian Islands (Hawiians, Guamanians, Samoans etc.).

All were said to be originally from the Orient, crossing the water during the Ice Age.

I would say Joba is moreuntouchable than Phil… I don’t know why, but I get that feeling.

Maybe its because Chamberlain has 100 mph stuff, and they think he is the ace of the future?

Any thoughts? I see Hughes as expendable versus Joba if its for Johan…

Hughes, IPK, Karstens and Melky for JS? Is it enough? Sub any one of Humberto Sanchez/ Allan Horne/ etc for Karstens?

Just dont trade Cano or Joba. Please…
