The Yankees are in on Ron Mahay. Not sure that's a good thing. Funny article below:

“”“Hey Pete, when the Yankees front office runs into the Sox front office in the lobby…do they say hi?””"

“No, it’s like the Sharks and the Jets; they dance around the lobby in a choreographed knife fight.”

Our Pete is a standup dude when it comes to journalistic ethics - and his work ethic isn't too shabby either.

C-Money is a straight up gangsta - so glad he's on the Yankees' side.

Is CashMan serious? If “a lot of clubs are calling for him.”, meaning Farnsworth, he'd be crazy not to trade him. Farnsie's in his last year. He's sucked for us. And he's had absolutely no worth so far so if he does now we have to take what we can get. Even if its just additional minor leaguers.

Phil Hughes can be as good as Santana. He was near that before he got hurt, and in his playoff innings he showed what he (at 21-years old) was made of.

And he's a LOT cheaper!!!!!!

Sure I'd love a established #1, but the Yankees just may have that in Hughes, and or, Joba.

I'm hoping that Santana ain't comin'. Let Boston pay through the nose.

Unlike the Yankees, general manager Theo Epstein said Monday that the Red Sox will not set a deadline for a possible Johan Santana trade.
"I think we've only done that when we thought it was in our best interest," Epstein said. "We don't have current discussions ongoing for which I think that would be in our best interest. We're pretty content with where we are and we don't think anything major is getting held up. There's a natural order of things this winter and we're just going to let it play out. If we think the dynamic changes or our interest changes, we certainly wouldn't hesitate to put a timetable on something or other. But this doesn't apply right now."

Green Beret,

not when hitters are sitting on it. he was better when he hit stride with his slider.

by no means am i comfortable with him pitching... just saying that i can see why some other teams would take a chance on him if the yanks paid some of his deal OR gave him up for very little. setup men / relievers are getting $5M/yr deals now.
