Well I would ask the Duke Lacrosse players what they thought of that court. Did they get a fair deal in the media?

Raymond Donovan was Sec of Labor under Reagan. He was falsely and maliciously prosecuted after being trashed for months in the media. At the end of trial the jury took less than an hour to aquit him. When interviewed about the results he famously asked “Where do I go to get my reputation back?”

I ask you after these guys names are put out there with no positive test results in the vast majority of cases; with no option to defend themselves in a court of law; no option to dispute the evidence other than when confronted in an interview with the accuser, where do they go to get their reputations back?

The Story: Pettitte was one of the redacted names from the Jason Grimsley Affidavit. In the affidavit, Grimsley told investigators he obtained amphetamines, anabolic steroids and hGH from a person recommended to him by, Brian McNamee strength and conditioning coach of Petitte and Roger Clemens. Grimsley later named Petitte specifically as a user of ‘performance-enhancing drugs.’ Pettitte’s name was revealed in an Oct. 1, 2006 Los Angeles Times Article entitled Clemens Is Named in Drug Affidavit.

But everyone forgets this part.

In 2006, the Los Angeles Times reported that in his interview with federal agents, Grimsley had named pitchers Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte and Baltimore infielders Miguel Tejada and Brian Roberts as steroid users. The players denied wrongdoing, and Kevin Ryan, U.S. Attorney in San Francisco, said the story contained “significant inaccuracies.”

They are citing the same sources that were supposedly being used by the Mitchell team so if those names aren’t in the report, the Senator has no credibility.

Not sure if it’s true but I heard the anonymous drug test that the players had that came up with 7% had used PED’s is not going to be used to name names because it would be against the CBA.

Probably a long shot but he might be worth the Yanks trying him as a lefty specialist if he’s willing to make the transition. I’m not sure how much interest he’ll get but if he’s willing to sign a minor league deal it’s worth exploring.
