“Where is BIG PAPI and MANNYS name.”
Maybe they’re not there because, you know, they didn’t cheat?
Why does everyone assume Papi and Manny are on roids? Because they’re great hitters?
Check Babe Ruth’s year-by-year stats when he was young. I guess he was juicing too.
The bottom line, no one has ever come forth with any evidence, or even smoke, that Ortiz and Manny have had any “help.” Just idle gossip by yahoos on Yankee fan sites.
I understand why Yankee fans are embarrassed and hurt by the fact that their team’s 1996-2000 “dynasty” has now been revealed as a sham, but don’t take it out on Red Sox players that are playing clean.

this hole thing is a joke. I agree with many ofthe remarks here. Where is BIG PAPI and MANNYS name. Big PAPI comes from now where and all of a sudden is King kong with homers. manny looks like he takes more than just steroids,if you know what I mean.his actions prove it. Mitchells report is so biased no one with any brains is going to take it seriously. Leaving the 3 and 4 hitters for the redsox off the list proves its a joke. As far a Andy Pettite he is concerned I think he has a good explanation if given the chance.

Anyone denying that this is a serious conflict of interest is delusional. I’ve been saying that since Mitchell was appointed. He works in the Red Sox front office! Oh, and the night before the press conference, two Yankees names are leaked. Whoopsy! Now every headline is “Clemens accused of Juicing,” or “Pettitte is juic’in up.” ESPN has been rolling footage of the two of them working out, like it’s this huge scandal.

What a bunch of crap, the guy used his power to slander the Yankees. ESPN has a headline right now, “Pinstripes in Peril.” The article says has quotes like, “It’ll be a bad day in the Bronx.” Really? Out of all the teams, and all the players we KNOW have used steroids or are using them, the New York Yankees get slammed? That’s just ridiculous. I’m tired of the media taking glee in Yankees failures. The TBS coverage of the ALDS was the straw that broke the camel’s back; this is just beating a dead horse.

Wow when you dont agree with something you question the logic of his article? Sorry but a lot of other people dont question his logic and they wont once they see how slanted this report is. It has already started with ESPN showing video of Andy and Roger working out together like it they are both injecting each other.

Steve, for every columnist you can find who questions Mitchell’s integrity, I can find you 3 or 4 who don’t. You are in the minority on this issue and when the dust settles the public will not see things your way. You will lose.

No one seriously believes that he would put his impeccable reputation on the line to please Red Sox fans or to get a few dollars from the Red Sox (if he does get paid by them). This man is already rich. Your notions are just ridiculous.

And I read part of Bryant’s article. It was very poorly written. Not the writing itself, but the logic used.

Mitchell’s interest was in protecting himself. He works for the Red Sox and gets paid by them. You can say all you want that nobody would risk their reputation but the fact remains people have done far worse over far less important things. This guy had no problem flaunting his affiliation with a team and he brought the criticism on himself.
