Looks like a tug of war between Hank and Hal/Cashman over whether or not to make the trade. Yanks know the deal would be Hughes, Cabrera, Marquez and another prospect (Hilligoss?). Meanwhile, A-Rod has been privately pushing for the Yanks to sign Mike Cameron if they trade Melky. Cameron will miss the first 25 games after testing positive for PED’s. But if he would take a 1-year, $4M deal to hold the fort until Austin Jackson is ready for 2009, I would do it. He still plays a mean CF, has RH-power (which the Yanks are lacking despite A-Rod) and can still steal a base or two.

I think the Yankees might go easy on Kennedy because of the back strain at the end of the season after his most innings pitched yet.
