It should be obvious these items must be canceled. Players cannot cope with the long schedule as it is, much less enormously draining travel, different time zones, etc. Post season includes 3 levels, which people mention as draining esp. for pitchers(if the Yankees aren't involved-in that case they get no slack). I notice in the press today, George Mitchell is more important than ever: he has obtained a middle initial "J." Nothing, and I mean nothing, is ever enough for some people. If anything, as public as pro sports are, shouldn't they have a long time ago, implemented measures to ensure undesirable people are not affiliated with their good name? Bad business in my opinion.
