I think I speak for most Giants fans when I say THANK YOU! Thank you for NOT picking the Giants. The second someone picks them, they are in trouble!

This guy amazes me, a New York Blog with our team the Giants in the Super Bowl and he give us this Boston Patriot smack.

I hope the Giants make believers of another team that they only lost to by three points and could have won easily.

I don't think the Pats are mighty, they have just gotten by in a few games.

I'd have to say the Giants are pretty mighty to for winning 10 games on the road, setting a new NFL record, and getting there with a 4th year QB. They are after all PETE one of the two last teams standing.

NYPD:

I'll give you the fact that the Celts are better than NY basketball teams and the bruins are probably better than NY hockey teams(actually I don't follow or care about hockey). But before you start putting astericks next to NY teams, you should really evaluate the moves and actions of your own Boston teams. Yes, the Patrios thus far have been the best football team, likely ever, but don't forget that if anyone on that list deserves an asterik, it is the team that was caught cheating by its own league.

But seriously, please do not play that yankees spend all the money, but we are the poor underdog redsox who don't have any money to spend card. In two years the red sox will have a higher payroll than the yankees. They have been increasing their payroll each year, while the yankees have at least made an effort to reduce theirs. Even if the yankees spent alot this offseason, they resigned their own guys (3 of whom started in their farm system). Congratulations on winning the series, but once the red sox decided to start throwing $50 million around on posting fees and paying average outfielders $14M + to opt out of their contracts, the we are poor card just doesn't work anymore.

If the Giants can sum how harness all their strength and win the game over the previously undefeated Patriots. It will be the biggest NY over NE win in history. Bigger than Bucky in '78, bigger than Boone in '03. Probably equivalent to the Sox winning in '04. It would just be outstanding. These next two weeks rule, let's enjoy them.

The Bruins are 3 points better than the Rangers, get real. Oh and wow, you are in the superbowl as opposed to the superbowl and the Yankees are 14 time playoff contenders (consecutively) Boston teams are performing better on the whole but don't even pretend there is a dominance factor there. Besides, if the Giants somehow pull this one out, I wouldn't be surprised to see the cities start to flip flop (minus the Knicks) in the next 1-3 years.

DUDE....How can you call yourself a Yankees Fan and root for the favorite Football team of all BoStinx fans ? The NEW YORK Giants are playing the New England ( or more aptly the BOSTON ) Patriots and you're loyalty is with the PattyCakes ? Do you root for the Celtics instead of the Knicks, too ? No question, your Yankees Blog is the best on the planet....but as most Yankees Fans are NEW YORK fans....I'll bet I am not the only one who wants to see YOUR PATRIOTS fall on their faces in the Super Bowl.....over and OUT !

NYPD
It is a great time to be a fan of the Boston teams. But the great thing about sports is that you play the games and sometimes the improbable happens. The 2004 Sox should have taught you that.

Sox friends tell me that Boston fans are tired of being the middle child in sports. For them the underdog role is pretty hard to take but....sometimes the front runner role is even harder to handle.

The Giants are relishing the underdog role. The Yankees seemed to embrace it pretty well the 2nd half of last season too. Not a close watcher of pro basketball or hockey so I wouldn't attempt to discuss them.

Should be a fun SuperBowl and I look forward to the 2008 baseball season.

A brief look at Boston v. NY/NJ right now:

Sox > Yank$* & Mets
Pats > Giants & Jets
Celts > Knicks & Nets
Bruins > Isles & Rangers
