With some of the spelling, grammar and punctuation errors rampant on most blogs — “they’re problem is its wrong” instead of “their problem is it’s wrong”, “phased” instead of “fazed”, “your an idiot” instead of “you’re…” well, no one should be saying that anyway — and, of course, “knabbed” intead of “nabbed”.

Anyway, if you’re going to blog like a goof, be my guest.

You people are really idiots. Let’s cover the facts…

Mitchell is NOT A BOARD MEMBER of the Red Sox. He has been in the past and probably will be in the future a consultant for the Red Sox, he has no ownership stake in the Red Sox, he has no voting power. His title and listing as “Director” is pretty much an honorary title based on his past work with the team. GOT IT??????

Second, he didn’t “focus” on those sources, the Federal Government gave him those sources. Mitchell had no sources, he couldn’t get the players to testify and he didn’t have any subpoena power, remember, this was a private investigation by a private organization.

Don’t let facts get in the way of your insane conspiracy theory rantings.

Hello Red Sox fans — Mitchell’s on your Board; you got off ‘scott-free’ and he focused on New York connection only; we all understand; quit playing the ‘holier-than-thou’ wide-eyed innocent dolt schtick….it makes you idiots look even stupider than you actually are.
Realistically – you should be laughing like hell ! Laughing that your ‘old goat’ Board Director refused to talk to anyone near his Boston team yet was focused on hammering the Yankees/Mets.
Like another poster said – if it was Randy Levine as the head of this “commission” and he focused only on the Boston towelboys ….we’d hear the same complaints and recognitions of the obvious….except we’d hear it all with the sad accents and typical Boston oral Bean-Fartings…

Dear Pete: Thanks for responding. If you were being sarcastic in an “I already know the true story but I’m putting this “Run Chucky Run” sequel on the blog…because I CAN” sorta way….

Then maybe you ought to use /sarcasm at the end of posts like that, so people like me can actually tell the difference between a completely serious blog entry by you — presumably the only card-carrying journalist among us — and a fantasy blog entry.

Leave the fantasy blog comments to the rest of us. Or better yet, take an alternate ego, and post fantasy under that name.

I gotta agree with SJ and Murphy,this is totally out of control. I will believe more in congress if they were being tested for substance abuse and those not passing sobriety or any other mind altering substances would not be able to vote. I don’t think they would be in office too long.

The joke is that Pete got the report wrong again. The subpoena was withdrawn, which means he wasn't nabbed or "knabbed" or tracked down. He's "agreed to talk" to the Congressional committee, either deposed testimony or an interview, which means it's voluntary. No, what's funny is that Randy Hendricks has issued a 49 page Clemens Report outlining a lot of generalized statistics (taking a page out of Scott Boras' books on ARod, no doubt) that "prove" that Clemens could not have taken PEDs at any time in his career. I predict that some people will not question a single obfuscating stat in the report. I also predict that stat hounds are falling on this report as we speak, and will attempt to shoot it down.

Peter I read that article in the news titled giants-Pats
rivalry pales in comparison to Yankees-Red Sox.
I read page 4A last season they played 18 not 19 times.
I see it says that your a Patroits fan Im a Oakland
Raiders fan so I will be rooting for New England if they
win the giants record would be 2-2 the Raiders would be
3-2 so im rooting for the Patroits. It also metioned that
you agreed that the Boston-New York baseball rivalry is the
Athens and sparta of sports I DON’T AGREE AT ALL I feel
Hockey is the most exciting sport so Im going to say that
the Montreal Canadiens Toronto MapleLeafs are the most exciting rivalry in sports.
