Hey Pete

Tell my buddy Lonn Trost that his time is up and he needs to go. His economics theory and the absurd value he places on these tickets being 400 dollars a pop are the reasons why there are so many rich bandwagons that come to a game in the 3rd and leave in the 7th; not knowing a thing about baseball. Taking the real fans away from the game was real genious. Hes the reason that many of us from upstate can't afford to go to many or even any Yankeees game anymore.

I know I used to make the 3 hour drive about seven times a year but with tolls, gas, and parking the way it is, it is gonna cost me 200 + dollars for one ticket to sit in the upper deck. Ill stick to making the 6 hour drive to another country to watch a baseball game that will cost me alot less.

Keep up the great work!

Don't know if it's been said but it's only $40 more to sponsor Pavano's page! If you think Farnsworth will triple it just this what Carl's can do!

I wish they wouldn't just tear the old stadium down... Can't they leave a shell? At least the facades, Babe Ruth's bat, etc?

"hot dogs, parking, and tickets" are not all on equal par.

As a partial season ticket holder, I am extremely curious as to what the Yankees are going to do with us.

Mets fans have gotten screwed - the partial holders, that is - with being told they needed to buy full seasons or change their locations.

I know we work on supply and demand here, but are the Yankees going to throw us to the wolves in favor of getting the last cent they can get?

I think they probably will, but I would still like some responsible journalist somewhere to ask them these questions, rather than just puff up that fabulous new house in the Bronx.

Come on, Pete, ask them the hard questions.

Also, I'd like mine with sauerkraut and mustard.

Which reminds me, has anyone heard the one about the Zen Buddhist and the hot dog vendor? The Buddhist went up to him and said "Make me one with everything..."

Okay, I will flee now.

MikeEff, i agree. As much as it sucks to have that place torn down, it's just too big a place too keep around for nostalgic reasons...

the only way i can see it working is if they kept it as a venue similar to the way they kept the old 'spectrum' arena in philadelphia. i'm sure their might be some 'nostalgic' gripes about the use of the place if that is the case, as well.

what they are doing is best, i think. the bronx is down one park right now. and there's too many "stand up doubles" being made in parking lot games...

i'm glad they will be saving the old infield in the middle of what will be a new public park.

i don't think i'd like to see the old stadium staring at us forlornly for years while we sit in the new one. best to make a clean break
