I don’t think Andy threw Roger under any bus. And I agree with SJ44 that I think that this all coming out, and perhaps one press conference, and Andy Pettitte will be able to move on.

But one thing that struck me in both items I read, is how much stress and pain and plain exhaustion these players play with every day. You have to take all of that into account when judging fellow human beings.

then he apologized to mcnamee for how he wast treated by some of the committee members. mcnamee admitted in the hearing earlier to totally lying about a rape where he was the main suspect.

i don’t think waxman likes women. maybe we have a little misogyny going on here with waxman. if there would have been a trial, mcnamee would have likely been convicted of rape. so why the respect shown to him by waxman? seriously.

anyone know if the statute of limitations has passed on that rape charge that mcnamee admitted lying about it today?

Normally, I think Burton and Issa are corrupt fools but they made valid points today and the Democrats looked like jerks.

As someone who has followed and cheered on Waxman’s probes into Halliburton etc. it was very disaappointing to see that he is completely unobjective, petty, power hungry, and plain dishonest.

I agree with randy l that the apology to McNamee, a rapist and drug dealer for some lame a$$ questioning that wasnt tough by any standard was laughable.

I totally agree with you on Pettitte. I don’t think he should get a free pass here. He lied about his HGH use, changed his story on PEDs at least 3 times, and managed to get out of defending his side of the story in public.

I think he’s the one I’ve lost the most respect for today (him and Waxman – since I never had any respect for McNamee in the first place).

Took the government almost 4 years to bring an indictment against Bonds. I can’t imagine a shorter timeframe for Clemens.
