Wow, what fun! I’m the Neil who wrote to Peter. Thank you Peter and everyone else. My grandmother will get a kick out of this thread. Regarding Presto, my grandmother didn’t like any of the “Newstand” newsletters. The problem is that the variety is waaaaaay too limited to accommodate the tastes of every Presto owner. So not surprisingly Presto’s killer app is email from people you know. News of PDF attachments is welcome as that opens up a world of possibilities (like sending the Yankees’ season schedule or all these comments). This must be a new feature as it did not exist six months ago. I wish the guy from Presto had restrained himself a bit. Sorry I didn’t get here before he did. Back to baseball!

I’m a grandfather in Syracuse and while you are certainly right that timely news is vital, don’t sell yourself short, Pete. The audio clips are great, and apparently I’m a sick puppy, cause frankly, I enjoy your humor and your outlook on what’s important and what’s ridiculous.

My grandmother was a rabid Yankee fan, rest her soul. It was one of the things that kept us close. I’m sure that I could have turned her onto your blog if she was still around. Blessings to all the grandmas and grandpas out there.

I agree. It’s very odd to me that newspapers don’t understand the progress of the sharing of information when they’ve been such a big part of it in the past.

I’m an expat in VA, too, and subscribe to MLB.tv. The picture is pretty good, and the only time it’s blacked out (other than certain weekend games) is when they play the Orioles. But then those games are usually broadcast on MASN or MASN2, so we still don’t miss them.

As for my grandmother, she has this blank look when she sees my laptop. LOL

I am a grandfather who enjoys this blog. After my first 40 years living in Westchester, I moved to Virgina 20 years ago. I still follow the Yankees. I go to Camden Yards everytime the Yanks come to town, and I subscribe to the MLB-radio package to listen to those games not on ESPN or Fox. Peter supplies excellent information with a quality writing style that I enjoy very much.
