Um, a "heard" of cameramen and reporters, Pete?

Reminds me of the old Abbott and Costello routine:

"A herd of cows."
"Of course, I've heard of cows."
"No, a cow herd."
"What do I care if a cow heard?"

The Associated Press has already started. Alex says something about being tested 9-10 times, I assume in an attempt to make it clear that he's tested repeatedly and often, and the AP construes into a "did he test positive for stimulants and is that why he was tested so often" because that many times is too often, type of article. Isn't it just possible that as the best player in the game who was setting all kinds of records last year that he might have been tested more often because of it? And that maybe, just maybe there doesn't have to be something sinister about being tested often?

It'd be hilarious, if it wasn't so pitifully sad.

From Baseball Musings:
"Peter Abraham provides a summary of Alex Rodriguez's press conference, and then provides the full unedited audio.

Right now, Peter is the best journalist/blogger in the business. He constantly keeps us informed and uses multiple ways of presenting a story. We get his filtered views and the unfiltered news. Let's hope more beat writers catch on to his methods."

I knew that once Alex appeared all of the media focus will be off Pettitte and on Alex. And why do they keep bothering Alex with steroid questions? The don't do it to anyone else.

The stories are already out in full force about A-Rod already. Steroids. Pete, you're a reporter, please brainwash your fellow reporters to stop with the steroid reports. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Drive 4-5 - Coco is extra baggaage and trait bait, probably for a starter. Ellsbury is the Sox CFer. Coco is no loss for the Sox.

Who needs Bonds? We've got a leaner and meaner Giambino that I'm predicting will hit 30 homers. Walk years in a contract are a wonderful thing.Even Manny Ramirez showed up on time this year! Expect a big year from Manny as well.
