Jason Giambi, Hideki Matsui and Mike Mussina came to the Yankees seeking money and glory. They have filled only half the equation so far.

Derek Jeter says he’s quicker after a productive winter. This notebook also has word on batting practice, Johnny Damon and a good-natured (we think) complaint from Mussina.

    Yes, it was a good-natured complaint. Writers, at times, can prevent the players from showing any personality.

    I laughed when I read Mussina’s comment yesterday. Does he seem alot looser this year than he has been in the past?
