Nice post — makes me itch to be there . . . . Perhaps the young pitchers should see a video montage of plays by Mariano, Pettite, Mussina, Guidry, Jim Kaat, Mel Stottlemyre, and so on. Plays that saved runs, games, whatever. And throw in The Jeter Play just to show what you can do if your head is in the game. Given the reports about how many of them have started with a good professional attitude, I’d expect this might translate.
