Is this game going to be televised? I don’t see if on the mlb.tv site, and I don’t get the YES network in Virginia?

  2. Ross (NYYStadiumInsider.com) February 27th, 2008 at 9:51 am

Here is the more updated version of the schedule:

As of now, these games will be televised:

    3/5 – 1:15 PM vs. MIN on YES/ESPN HD
3/7 – 1:15 PM vs HOU on YES HD
3/8 – 1:15 PM vs TB on YES HD
3/11 – 1:15 PM vs. TOR on YES HD
3/13 – 1:15 PM vs. PIT on YES HD
3/15 – 1:15 PM (ss) vs. TB on YES HD
3/16 – 1:15 PM vs. CLE on YES HD
3/17 – 1:15 PM vs. BOS on YES HD
3/18 – 3:00 PM @ Virginia Tech (in Blacksburg, VA) on YES
    3/20 – 1:05 PM @ TOR on YES/ESPN

    3/23 – 1:05 PM @ PIT on YES
    3/25 – 1:05 PM @ CLE on YES

Strangely enough, the Yankees play the last two games of Spring Training at Dolphins Stadium, both night games and neither are televised. There is NOT ONE night game televised this spring.

Lots of players looking for one of the 3 spots left in the bullpen…

Besides Moose, you have 12 pitchers going today who are trying to proove that they belong in the pen.. Yikes.

  11. Y's Guy February 27th, 2008 at 10:21 am

nice to see all the young arms going today, but i’d hate to be the one who gives up 2 walks and 2 doubles, a bad outing could put somone in trenton to start the season.

    this should be interesting

McCutchen, Melancon,Ohlendorf,Alba, Ramirez and Patterson oh my :)

  13. dfresh February 27th, 2008 at 10:30 am

Correct you are D Man. The Yankees do in fact have good young arms looking for bullpen spots.
This is a benefit the Yankees haven’t had in several years and there’s another wave of good young arms still to come. There’s strength in numbers ….

Pete blogging play by play = me doing even less work at work. :D

    3/3 – 1:05 PM at HOU
    3/5 – 1:15 PM vs. MIN

  16. Marc February 27th, 2008 at 10:45 am

    Spidur,

    What about regular radio?

  17. Rebecca--Optimist Prime--Mission 2708 February 27th, 2008 at 10:46 am

So is everyone pulling for the home team or the away team?

Pete, are you gonna live blog? I’ll be in class the first hour, and it’ll take me another hour in the snow to walk back, so it might not actually matter, but it could be fun.

  18. Nick NYYSTADIUMINSIDER February 27th, 2008 at 10:46 am

Hey Pete, can we expect an update on the position players on each team?

  19. pat February 27th, 2008 at 10:55 am

Line-ups for the intra squad are on Bryan Hoch’s blog. Team Goose vs. Team Gator.

  20. PAT February 27th, 2008 at 10:55 am

I wonder how Moose feels about being the only “starter” to be pitching in this game lol If you look that the names he’s pretty out of place

  21. JBRO February 27th, 2008 at 11:05 am

    is this free to attend?

  22. Jeter's Future Wife February 27th, 2008 at 11:08 am

I hear Moose was lookin good though? is there much to read into with him pitching with these guys?

  23. rodg12 February 27th, 2008 at 11:08 am

A live blog would be pretty cool Pete. You gonna do it?

  24. rodg12 February 27th, 2008 at 11:12 am

JFW – The only thing I could see to read into this is that it appears that pitching today sets him up to pitch Game 3 of the season. Other than that, just a chance for him to get some work in.

  25. Spidur February 27th, 2008 at 11:12 am

    Marc -

For some reason they only list radio broadcasts through March 2. WCBS is broadcasting the game on 3/2, but not the ones on 2/29 or 3/1. (WPHT is also broadcasting both on 3/1 and 3/2, if there’s anyone here who lives in the Philly area.) Unfortunately, the WCBS homepage doesn’t have a spring training broadcast schedule listed. Best thing I can say is to go to the Multimedia Guide on MLB.com to look up what radio stations are broadcasting – hopefully they’ll upload the rest of the scheduled broadcasts as we get into March…

  26. Spidur February 27th, 2008 at 11:13 am

Yes, that was a study in how many times I could fit the word “broadcast” into a single post. LOL @ myself.

  27. Marc February 27th, 2008 at 11:14 am

Hey why isnt Ajax in the lineup?

  28. Brandon (Proud supporter of "Alex being Alex") February 27th, 2008 at 11:15 am
