INDIVIDUAL-GAME TICKETS FOR THE NEW YORK YANKEES’ FINAL REGULAR SEASON AT THE CURRENT YANKEE STADIUM ON SALE BEGINNING FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 29

Individual tickets for 2008 New York Yankees regular season home games—in what is the final regular season at the current Yankee Stadium—will go on sale Friday, February 29, online only at www.yankees.com and www.yankeesbeisbol.com.

Beginning Monday, March 3, tickets may also be purchased at Yankee Stadium Advance Ticket Windows, at all area Ticketmaster outlets, via Ticketmaster by phone at (212) 307-1212 (or check local listing) and at all Yankees Clubhouse Shops.

Yankee Stadium Advance Ticket Windows are located outside Yankee Stadium between Gates 4 and 6. Beginning March 3, they will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The 26-time-World Champion New York Yankees will begin the 2008 season—the 106th in franchise history—at home on Monday, March 31 at 1:05 p.m. vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. This season will mark the 86th year since construction was completed on the original Stadium in 1923 and the 84th regular season of baseball played on its grounds. The Yankees’ 1974-75 regular seasons were played at Shea Stadium as Yankee Stadium was remodeled.

Premium Games Note: Due to an increase of Ticket License Deposits and sales of Full and Partial Ticket License Plans and 2008 Holiday Ticket Packs, there will be a very limited number of individual game tickets available for Premium Games. As a result, there will be a four-ticket limit, per person, per Premium Game. The term “Premium Games” is defined as the Opening Day game, the Old-Timers’ Day game, the final three (3) scheduled regular season games scheduled to be played at Yankee Stadium, and all games played against the following teams: (i) Boston Red Sox, and (ii) New York Mets. For full official rules regarding the purchase of Premium Games tickets, please visit www.yankees.com. In addition, there will be a 12-ticket limit, per person, per game for all other non-Premium Games.

· Con Edison Tuesday Night Games – Every Tuesday night, all Tier Reserved MVP tickets are $26 and Tier Reserved tickets are $19. Excludes all Premium Games. May be purchased in advance or on the day of game and are subject to availability.

· Student Games – Any student who presents his or her valid high school or college ID card at the Advance Ticket Windows can purchase a half-price Tier Reserved MVP or Tier Reserved ticket to any Wednesday game (except Premium Games). Available only on the day of game at Yankee Stadium and subject to availability.

· Military Personnel may present their active military ID card at the Advance Ticket Windows prior to any Monday through Thursday game and receive one complimentary Tier Reserved MVP, Tier Reserved or Bleachers ticket, or one half-price ticket in the following locations: Main Box, Main Reserved, Loge Box, Tier Box MVP or Tier Box. Excludes all Premium Games. Available only on the day of game at Yankee Stadium and subject to availability.

GROUP TICKETS:
Many of the 2008 ticket-discount programs may also be applied to group tickets (minimum: 20 tickets). Fans interested in group ticket information should call the Yankees Ticket Office at (718) 293-6000 or visit www.yankees.com. Please note that given the increased overall demand for tickets in 2008, group ticket availability and group ticket seating location availability will be limited for selected games.

  2. jay destro February 27th, 2008 at 10:35 pm

i am so happy i have my season tickets. the fight to get them without having a package plan is just insane.

Heh, it’ll probably be pot luck for me…

  4. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 10:45 pm

I’m so happy I have the Sunday plan …included Opening Day, Old Timer’s and the last game to be played in the regular season (hopefully not the LAST …playoffs in October!!!)I also have the 8 pack plan which was a bargain …I have upper tier but only paid $11 a game and I’m right behind home plate in Section 3. This plan included one Boston game and some other good games ..Detroit, San Diego.

I can’t wait for the season to start …

    Go Yankees 2008 !!!

  5. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 10:48 pm

    Oops…that was $12 a game ..not $11…

    Go Yankees 2008 !!!

  6. jennifer-Phil Hughes saved!! February 27th, 2008 at 10:48 pm

How did you only pay 11 a game?

  7. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 10:52 pm

    Jennifer .

The 8 pack seats ..8 seats for $96…it’s a great deal. My boyfriend had them for the past 3 years. We broke up so I got my own plan. In the upper Tier.. Section 3. That section is awesome too …you get the outlay of the whole field ..

    Go Yankees 2008 !!

  8. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 10:56 pm

I’m tired tonight ..not 8 seats for $96..I meant 8 games.

    Go Yankees 2008 !!!

YanksGal Im with you I have the Saturday plan (field level in left field not to be called Damon central rather than Matsui central).

Then I bought the Holiday pack which got me Opening Day and Old Timers Day (which is NOT included in the Saturday plan) Bought those in the Bleachers figured might as well experience those before the stadium says goodbye and they were not expensive.

Then for the season ticket pre sale got 2 tickets (bleachers again) for the last home gam on the SUnday $36 so again not bad on the price.

I have to say for any that can do it the partial season ticket plans are great and give you lots of flexibility and opportunities to get additionaltickets. I have been able to get GREAT seats albeit costly for the past 3 years for the plyoffs I end up buying single seats which have been able to get me championship seats.

I’ll be cursing away Friday morning as the message appears on the screen, you have a 15 minute wait.

  11. Marc from Portland Maine February 27th, 2008 at 11:20 pm

I’m a lifelong Yankee fan and it sucks to even try to get tickets to good games. Fenway is closer, but my girfriend and I would love to see one game at Yankee stadium with the red sox for the last year. She’s a Red Sox fan by the way.

    Marc…

Have you discussed how you are going to raise the kids ? Important question in a mixed relationship…

  16. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 11:39 pm

I just hope when they get into triple digits …those players have broad backs..lol. Numbers in the 90′s …amazing …

As far as “mixed” marriages…I was married to a Met fan. The marriage was doomed to fail from the start ..lol. Thankfully my daughter lived with me and I bought her up right ..she’s a huge Yankee fan like Mom !!

    Go Yankees 2008 !!!

  17. YanksGal07 February 27th, 2008 at 11:41 pm

you’re tired all the time? probably why you’re divorced.

  20. Rebecca--Optimist Prime--Mission 2708 February 28th, 2008 at 12:02 am

I am close friends with a couple Red Sox fans. They just have yet to see the light.

My best friend is a Mets fan but I don’t fault her–she once had a dream she was murdered at Yankee Stadium. That’d put me off a team for life as well.

  21. MikeEff - Shelley at First February 28th, 2008 at 12:04 am

my two best friends are mets fans. i just TRY to ignore it.

  22. camaroon15 February 28th, 2008 at 12:30 am

To pop in and join in this discussion, my fiancee is an Orioles fan. Weird thing because as opposed to these other relationships, I don’t hate the Orioles, but she hates the Yankees. What do I do there?

Oh, and I’m so happy I have HDTV. These ticket prices are getting ridiculous. I am obviously going to go to a couple games this year because of it being the last year and all, but HD is the way to go otherwise. I’m like on the field with them.

  23. BX 12 Fordham Rd. February 28th, 2008 at 12:59 am

    Camaroon….

she is supposed to hate the Yanks, you on the other hand are not supposed to acknowledge the exsistence of the O’s, she in turn will hate the Yankees even more and so it goes..

The O’s are locked and loaded for the basement this year as the Rays will be a better team….luckily Baltimore is a lovely city with lots for the locals to do

  24. Eric February 28th, 2008 at 1:08 am

What time on Friday do tickets go on sale?

  25. Corey February 28th, 2008 at 1:32 am

I have 4 packs of Red Sox / Yankees tickets for each of the following dates: July 3rd, August 26th and August 27th all night games in the Bronx ;)

….and it also just happens that the week I’m going to Naples, FL in May the Yankees will be in town and snagged some nice front row seats right next to 3rd base at Tropicana as well

    Good year it will be.

  26. Andrea February 28th, 2008 at 1:37 am

I wanna see the Yankees play at some other stadium. Any suggestions?

  27. Corey February 28th, 2008 at 1:49 am

Oh and Yanks / Angels August 3rd too how could I forget :)

    5 Games currently for me….

  31. Corey February 28th, 2008 at 2:36 am

Canseco needs to put more of that self -tanning lotion on his body….

  32. jerryd February 28th, 2008 at 5:28 am

To Andrea – Seeing a Yanks game in Baltimore is always fun (Camden Yards is still probably the best stadium in babeball), although you would have to buy tickets well in advance as there are a lot of Yankees fans in the Wash, DC area. You could easily spend three days in Baltimore as in addition to the games you could visit the aquarium, Babe Ruth’s birthplace, Harbor Place, etc or even spend one of the days in DC or Annapolis, which are only 45 minutes away. Baltimore is only 2hrs from NYC by train.

  33. wood is good February 28th, 2008 at 9:48 am

Getting a ticket plan was the best Yankee decision I ever made eight years ago. I truly do feel sorry for all the fans out there who have to suffer through a day like tomorrow. Hey old folks (ha!), remember the days BEFORE the internet? Having to line up at the stadium or at a Ticketmaster to get some ducats? The camraderie was great, the wait was NOT! At least the people online tomorrow get to try snagging tickets from the warmth of their home/office….

the picture ‘Joba Is A Starter’ is what makes reading the comments in these older posts worthwhile

Andrea: there isn’t much to do besides the R&RHOF and baseball, but Jacobs field was great last year. I’m hoping to go back again this year.

then again, i didn’t really have much time for much else other than baseball and R&RHOF…
