let's get the facts.i know of several incidents where the ploice were the ones at fault, the police might not have liked something he said.i am not saying all police are bad but a large percentage of them can be very dangerous and they all stick together.just because they say something doesn't make it reality.if he gets in trouble once or twice after this then that is different.it is a concern that it had to come to this though,he could of walked away, his bad.

I think after the incident he should change his name to Viktor Krum.

First, it would help get the stink of the arrest off of him.

Second, we already have the quota for guys named "Austin" in the organization.

And finally, he would become beloved by Harry Potter fans all over the world.

Perhaps he could start carrying a broomstick and sporadically mention the golden snitch.

I interviewed him for Pinstripes Plus last year, and he was a tremendously polite and well spoken individual. He was even cool about the fact that I broke the news that he was drafted by the Yanks to his grandmother before he got the chance to tell her. I'm really sorry to hear he misbehaved like that.

He's still not as bad as Elijah Duke though.

If I had a nickel for everytime me or one of my friends have been involved in bar room incidents at 2-3 in the Morning I qould have about $1.50.

Things just happen, things get out of control, sometimes it would be our fault and sometimes it wouldnt. Just remember, there is a time and a place for everything and that time is called college.

I dont pass judgement the kid.

o gee, some youngster got in a fight in a bar, let's cut him. give me a break. if this guy has talent, it's hardly going to be an issue. i don't believe the Yankees cut Yogi, Hank Bauer, Mantle, and Ford after the 1957 Copacabana fight.

they did dump Billy Martin after that, but they had other 2B - Bobby Richardson was on the horizon - which I believe was the factor.

for Krum, i think the .238 BA is a problem, not getting into a tussle.

I don't know. Gee, am I the only one who recalls the good ole days of the Bronx Zoo and the daily barroom brawl with a hint of fondness and nostalgia?

Even the Boss himself partook in a few barroom scuffles, once in Cleveland, if I recall, and another in an elevator with a Dodger fan in 1981.

Perhaps, we judge management by a different standard than the men who play the game.

In my book, all's fair in love and war. I mean it's not like the guy committed the great mortal sin of trying to enhance his performance. God forbid.
