Chien-Ming Wang is working on a change-up now that he has established himself with the Yankees.

Mr. October loves him some Austin Jackson. This notebook also has word on a big day for Shelley, an early day for the Big G and an efficient day for Billy Traber.

Joe Torre is comfortable in Dodger Blue. John Delcos has that story from the other side of the state.

Great to see CMW have such a good outing yesterday. I’m hoping he’ll have another great year, then maybe he can get the multi year deal he wanted. 38 wins over 2 seasons and counting!!

  2. Boston Dave

its ST and he isn’t getting the multi-year deal unless he gives some discount free agency years. nonetheless, go Wanger!

  3. YanksAngel

I could definitely see CMW giving the discount free agency years to get a multi year deal next year. He seems to really enjoy pitching in NY.

  4. Thomas Robust

If Wang shows another 19 or more win year it’ll be hard not to agree that he deserves a long-term deal.

  5. Jim PA

If this third pitch experiment works out (the change), Wang could finally break the 20 win barrier.

    Go! Wanger go! Andy

Yankee baseball. Live on TV. Today is a good day.

my mets prediction for 2008. Wracked by injuries and age, delgado and alou provide nothing and the offense is weak all year. Pedro and el Duque combine for less than 20 starts, which exposes pelfrey and humber as not what they were cracked up to be. Delgado’s decline continues and this team flops badly. Santana goes 20-8 with a 3.11 and a cy young but thats the only attraction as the Mets are passed by the phils and braves early and end up at 80-82. Minaya is fired and the mets are forced to rebuild heading into thieir inaugrual citi park season.

Y’s Guy: I agree for the 2nd day in a row with you.

I hope Gianbi has a great year but that the Yankees don’t fall for the ~Last year of contract motivation that’s obvious.Jason had lots of years to prove himself and now it’s time to go,syanora adios ciao baby!

Mo is my favorite Yankee but CMW is right up there. Such a good guy, hard worker and talented player. I hope the change-up works and agree he will be deadly. Go Wanger!
